November 2017

Another great 2017 season wraps up! The majority of guests staying at the Ranch do so between March and November. We have seen amazing growth in the number and size of Mexican churches staying with us, as well as a few U.S. based teams that have "discovered" us for the first time - and they all say they will never stay anywhere else!

Nemo and Mari are thrilled that our guests are so loyal. They are very fond of the positive reports that make it back to them - AND the 5 star reviews on Google!

The Ranch now enters the "fix the infrastructure" phase: We have a major plumbing/sewer replacement project to do on Nemo and Mari's home at the Ranch, two new septic tanks to build for our dorms, AND last, but not least, we are designing (and raising funds for) a replacement for our decades old swimming pool!

We continue our betterment projects in the colonias as well, where families volunteer community service hours to be listed as home recipients. This "experiment" in home building is part of ClubRust, you can read all about it here:

We look forward to this "down" season, knowing that the Ranch will be a much better place for all next year.

Note that "COA USA" is the official legal corporate name for the Ranch Non-Profit 501(c)3.  When you register Rancho La Paloma Ministry Center as your charity on AmazonSmile, you might see "COA USA" listed as your charity instead of Rancho La Paloma Ministry Center - This is perfectly fine, as both are one and the same non-profit.

Pastor Jacob Sotelo returned to Rancho La Paloma for a Training of Trainers Level 3 program.

Besides the class training sessions, the students also participated in a community clean up event.  The community is now moving to formalize a committee, as they learn together how to move forward the concepts of community development.

Please keep them in your prayers!

March 2015

Pastor Jacob Sotelo, accompanied by his wife Raquel and son Nathan, returned to Rancho La Paloma last month to continue with the Training of Trainers Level 2 program.

It truly is a blessing to see the smiles and dedication of the participants - Having attained the level of TOT-2 (CDC-2 in Spanish) was a lot of work for all.

The next (and last) training session is scheduled for May 11.  Continue to hold us all up in your prayers as we continue to learn and practice the concepts of development in the communities of Northern Baja California, Mexico.

February 2015

Dr. Hugo Gomez returned to Rancho La Paloma last month to continue with the Trainer of Trainers CHE program.

Below you can see some of the participants in the training, as well as a session where all used simple handout materials to share the Gospel - And after class, attendees had the chance to "practice" and spread the Good News in the neighborhood, resulting in a handful of folks accepting Jesus into their hearts!

The next training session is scheduled for March 23.  Please remember the trainees in your prayers as they continue to master the concepts of Community Health Evangelism.
