This is very important for everyone to take the time to read. It is the reason we are making chances to our business model.
"So if you are part of this “digital revolution”, let me ask you- where are YOUR photographs?"

We have been really busy the past few weeks photographing new business headshots. In this time of social media it is very important for people to keep their profile photographs updated. You should have a new portrait done if you have changed your look, new haircut or hair colour, new glasses, weightloss, etc. You can view some samples of our work on our website.

A while back Rock 97.7 posted a link to the release of a new band that was trying to make an impression on the local music scene. They are called Newcastle Kings and I loved the tune. The video that is posted on youtube is called “I’m in love with you” And I’m definitely a fan!
I’m watching the video and thinking that even though its clearly shot on a budget, its pretty good!
So off I go to Facebook and the web to see what I can find about them and realize that there are very few images of them out there. After taking a day or two to figure out what I would do based on their sound and where I would do it I contacted Ashley and discussed the possibility of working with them. I spoke to Ashley about what I would do, got a feel for what they would like and we immediately seemed to be on the same page. We set a date based on when everyone was available and waited for two months.
So on a cold snowy day in April (ya I know) we headed out to shoot, everyone froze (except me) but it was a lot of fun. The images are done and no one has seen them until now. I am so happy that I approached them. I could have been out doing landscapes or photographing local models but instead I helped a local band promote themselves and made new friends. I would say it was a great deal all around.
I love the shots and love their music, so take a few minutes check out their website, facebook page and youtube video and show some support.

To see more photos from the shoot you can check out the feature gallery on our website.

 Thanks everybody.   Keith

We recently did a day long shoot for Bluewave Energy. It was a cold, snowy, blustery day with everything going against us. We shot in about a dozen locations and despite an up hill battle everything worked out for the best. I will post some of the images on the site and blog over the next few days

A big part of what a professional photographer's job is to make the mundane interesting , you go to a job and encounter the most mundane situations and have to bring them to life. In this case a parts room full of yellow plastic bins! Did I pull it off?

A while back we were asked to photograph a local body builder, he was about to enter a provincial competition and wanted photos to show the peak of his fitness. I wanted to find a location that complimented the physique and created some drama. So off to the local quarry we went. We lit it with a combination of hard and soft light and i love the results.
More in this series can be viewed on our web site or on the facebook page.
Thanks

Post form an industrial shoot, to do this for a living you must be a problem solver. The amount of radio interference in this shoot was insane. No idea why? Its just molten iron blasted out of a gun in the most hostile environment I have ever witnessed.
