What are your top feature requests for the Tango SDK to get your Make an App contest to work?  Mine:

1. ADF file exporting (upload / download) from in Unity.  As I understand it, you can only load external ADF files using the native Android SDK?

2. Being able to toggle the infra red camera. I need to be able to turn the depth camera on and off at will. It messes with the colors for the AR camera feed--and since I have a 2 player game, picking up the IR signal from the other tablet might cause problems during gameplay.

Yours truly quoted in this article about VRLA--had a great event showing off Caldera and my new Google Tango game, InnAR Wars!
Virtual reality is the present future, but what kind of future? VRLA showcased a virtual reality world that is closer to reality than ever before.

I put up a quick video showing  new feature in InnAR Wars that uses the depth camera to place traps on the floor. One weird thing is that at :38 it shows the cushion on my seat is blue--but it's black! Is this due to using the depth camera??

Yeah, the camera has terrible trouble with blue.  My experience is that there seems to be come conflict between blue and IR intensity with respect to the final camera output. There was an earlier post from someone who knows a hell of a lot more than I do about what really is in the hardware, but this is the internet and I'm to lazy to go look for it.

Thanks for this Ralph!  We are trying to work on location based experiences via the Tango and are having a hard enough time making it behave in a perfectly understood and static environment.  If there is any collaborating to be done on locking down precise placement of virtual objects in the real world we'd love to be involved!

Showed off InnAR Wars on Tango at VRLA Summer Expo this weekend. Got a great response! It's tricky to demo a Tango game in such a crowded place, though. I'll have to get a room next time!

Is there any way to toggle the depth camera on/off to conserve battery and heat? You can access the m_enableDepth member in TangoApplication, but it doesn't actually toggle the callbacks etc. I'll probably just edit the TangoApplication class to add a toggle--but it would be nice if this was built into it.

This isn't the same issue--but it's another one I was also looking at. :)

Has anyone had any luck changing the renderqueue of the AR screen object/shader in the Tango's AR example? It really should be the first thing rendered (Background layer) but if you put it in the background queue, it comes out pink--I'm assuming because it's being drawn before the video frame is grabbed from the camera and applied to the texture. Is there any solution to this? The AR screen should always render first with no z-write every frame.

Here's some shaky cam video of my Google Tango app contest entry for the AR category. Next time, I won't use a shotgun mic. :)

Thanks! Once the multiplayer is in it should be pretty fun!

If anyone wants to try my Tango app prototype send me your email, I'll add you to the alpha test list. Here's a screenshot from InnAR Wars, in the meanwhile.

It's a prototype of a multiplayer AR space RTS--although the prototype is single player and not all the AR features are there yet (going to put in plane detection post-prototype phase)

Is there any way to use the meshing code with the AR code? I'm having problems having the mesh show up on top of the video--but I think that's because the AR camera uses a projection that's incompatible with the meshing. So....this might be impossible?

I suggest combining the AR and plane detection examples to ensure the device is getting the depth in the right frame of reference.

Make sure that you are not offsetting the camera through code. If you are, you will need to carry this offset to all parts.

I have had AR work with point cloud overlay. I haven't integrated it with the Unity meshing example.
