only thing with this new avatar is that every thing is embedded such as comments ,likes etc and it is the tendency of most browsers to skip such things. In earlier versions this is the status..my ?.How many of us bother to click 'ABOUT'. The world is running fast and has no minutes to spare. One positive aspect is that images are well focussed instead of smaller ones.Likewise images can not be posted under comments which can make the comments section live. Do u agree ?
N.B. I have pleasant experience with PICASA.But times are changing from larger screens to smart screens and also visual perceptions .

The eight richest men in the world have a combined net worth of more than $426 billion, according to Forbes data.

The report shows “that the gap between rich and poor is far greater than had previously been estimated and details how big business and the super-rich are fueling the inequality crisis by dodging taxes, driving down wages and using their power to influence politics,” Oxfam said in a statement.

Incredible photography from Guido Diana, who traveled more than 24.000 km, to witness some of the most incredible scenery and adventures.
Cypres Tree Tunnel is a famous spot just an hour out of San Fransisco. Its just magical during sunrise on a clear day.

Darjeeling Himalayan Railway - 1890s

The Darjeeling Himalayan Railway, also known as the "Toy Train", is a narrow gauge railway that runs between New Jalpaiguri and Darjeeling in the Indian state of West Bengal, India. Built between 1879 and 1881, the DHR was declared a World Heritage site by UNESCO in 1999, only the second railway to have this honour bestowed upon it.

Investor shift from active to passive funds accelerating
Seven top asset managers this week reported a total of $50 billion in third-quarter net redemptions, most of it from active funds.
The tally is further evidence that investors, frustrated with high fees and mediocre performance of actively managed funds, are increasingly casting them off for low-cost passive investments. In the 12 months ended Sept. 30, active funds had redemptions of $295 billion while passive took in $454 billion, according to data from Morningstar Inc.

The Indian Army is built upon a long and proud tradition of valour. During World War I, Indians formed a large contingent of soldiers in Europe. Image below - Sikh Indian Soldiers in France during First World War - 1914

Lambasingi village - Snowfall in Andhra Pradesh
If you were told that there is a place in Andhra Pradesh where sometimes it Snows, would you believe it? That’s right. Snowfall. In Andhra Pradesh!

Another name for this Lambasingi village, famous as Andhra Kashmir, is Korra Bayalu. As already established, the village experiences below 0°C temperature and chilly winds in winter, with a spell of snow sometimes.

In the east of Visakhapatnam, just 100km away is this beautiful hamlet. The hills, the dense forests, the valleys, and the plantations contribute in making Lambasingi a place with prolific natural beauty.
