Honored to be featured in today's New York Times. This article on #NotOneDime  is on the cover of the Sunday edition's business section.

Holiday sales were down 11 percent, but how much of that was a result of the nationwide protests against the police shooting of Michael Brown?

We all know the million dollar question: where do we go from here. While I do not possess the answers, I do have over a decade of community organizing experience and a desire to see our generation committed to social justice in a tangible, life-altering way. While this list is not meant to be exhaustive, it seeks to shift our focus to making justice-seeking a way of life. It is also meant to encourage us in those moments when we feel we are not doing anything for the cause of justice by broadening our understanding of what an activist’s life looks like.

While this list is not meant to be exhaustive, it seeks to encourage all to shift from one time acts of protest or social media-led interests to making justice-seeking a way of life.

ICYMI Forbes' feature on #NotOneDime  and Urban Cusp!
It is the week of Thanksgiving, with all its associated holiday cheer and family togetherness. It is also the week a Grand Jury decided white policeman Darren Wilson will not face criminal charges for the shooting death of unarmed black teen Michael Brown in Ferguson, Missouri.

If you really are passionate about “media balance,” please take your concerns to Hollywood, the mainstream press and to all the major cable networks who perpetually privilege the lives, voices, experiences, beauty and success of our white brothers and sisters. Where is your righteous indignation when black folks are disproportionately depicted as criminals, video vixens and savages? Instead, anger swells when innocent African Americans who died brutally are depicted as victims.

An open letter to the "This Is Not About Race" trolls who have been flooding Urban Cusp's comment threads and inbox, as well as to those who accuse us of race baiting for covering cases of brutality.

When you are trying to let go and move on, you can't keep returning to the source of pain in the same way that "a dog returns to its own vomit." But you also can't rehearse the memories and conversations over and over again in your mind. This is why. A MUST READ: http://buff.ly/1ddPCYK

"My point is that the B-word box is inescapable for women. No matter who we are, we’re likely to find ourselves in it at some point. But I’m not going to try to break my way out of it by calling myself a bad, boss, dime or dope b--. I haven’t worked this hard to be reduced to a female dog (regardless of the adjective that proceeds it). I think Beyonce made a critical mistake by allowing Jay-Z’s “That’s My B----” verse on the “Watch the Throne” album to see the light of day, and Kim Kardashian publicly played herself by calling Kanye West’s “Perfect B----” dedication an honor."

"I think Beyonce..." So, Beyonce has control of Jay-Z's art now?
