King's "Drum Major Instinct" sermon, given on 4 February 1968, was an adaptation of the 1952 homily ‘‘Drum-Major Instincts’’ by J. Wallace Hamilton, a well-known, liberal, white Methodist preacher. King encouraged his congregation to seek greatness, but to do so through service and love. King concluded the sermon by imagining his own funeral, downplaying his famous achievements and emphasizing his heart to do right.

It is better (and cheaper) to educate people than it is to incarcerate them. Yet, governments invest more in prison than on education.

New research puts us on the cusp of brain-to-brain communication. Could the next step spell the end of individual minds?

plastic smile

glass is used too much in poetry
let’s talk about plastic and
how deceitful it can be
from fragile to cutting
it’s so easy to hide demons
when they don’t want to break free
no one has to know how much
of a mess you became
your lips will bleed, they won’t notice a thing
i told you, plastic has a knack for trickery
smile through the pain, no one will ask
why your droopy eyes contradict
a smile so heavenly

I have been here three times in the past year for some time with the family. The food is just wonderful, and they have a wonderful assortment of wine.

Eric and Sean were patient and helpful with my wife and my mattress needs. We are students from the east settling here for college and had a limited budget. Eric gave us a selection to choose from, as well as taught us on how to select the best mattress for our needs. Thank you Eric and Sean!

This place is great for a lunch with friends. There sushi should be a bit more tight, but it is still delicious. If you are a college student, this is the place.

Service is poor, the place is uninviting, the staff are pushy in the drive through. Give the person a second to think! sheesh.
