After having too much issues with Core Data & iCloud we finally decided to implement our own cloud sync framework. It will be a lot of work, but it will work.

Get them while they are the same price as retail versions. The latter will just get cheaper over time while the digital downloads will remain ridiculously high priced.

It would be so sad if Nintendo couldn’t handle this temporary (hopefully) crisis.

That’s one of the reasons why I love to live in this (otherwise creepy) country.

It sucks when companies can shut down whole games. Welcome to the 21st century where everything is a lot faster.

I also guess that future versions of Google Drive and SkyDrive will improve on a technical level. Right now Dropbox is the best, but also the most expensive, solution for no-frills cloud storage.

I hope that both will also improve on the collaboration front.

I missed some things in this article about different cloud hosting providers:

• SkyDrive lets you only share files and folders inside a website. It’s not possible to share folders that will sync to other people’s disks.
• Only Dropbox supports extended attributes and resource forks, i.e. packages / bundles look like folders on other Macs, Finder color labels also get lost.
• Google Drive doesn’t sync “hard copies” of your Google Docs. These are only JSON files that link to the real files in Google’s web interface.
