Artificial Clay Courts ready for play

I'm very pleased to say that the 3 artificial clay courts can now be played upon. In fact, the more we play on them, the quicker the sand/"clay" will bed down and provide the sort of surface we all expect. Other club's experience was that it was a good month before the clay courts really started to behave as they wished. Please be patient!

Congratulations to Drew and his Cymru Kitchens Men's team who today clinched promotion from Division 4 with a 4-0 at Chepstow. 14 players were used, of which 8 were Juniors. The future is bright!

We are also doing quite well with our Mixed Doubles team in the Winter League. After 9 matches we have won every match so far and have not lost one rubber in all those 9 matches, 36 rubbers won and 0 lost (and only 4 sets lost in the whole season !!).

Lets keep the momentum running as we enter the Summer season !! #tennis #LTA

Congratulations to Rachel Evans and her Cymru Kitchens Mixed Doubles team. After just 7 matches (and 7 wins, all 4-0) the team has been promoted and confirmed as Champions. Many thanks to the 8 men and 6 women who've played. Here's to an unbeaten season!
