Back then (not long ago for most) I recall it being referred to as Stereo Shack. It was across the street from where it is now. From my height as a youth I could remember RadioShack being Jammed pack full of gadgets and digital innovations, toy store'sh to me. The second hand unwinds to the 90s, and you'd find shelves stocked with Boom Boxes, RC Cars, CBs, headphones, tiny assortment of parts, etc. A faint smell of electrical fumes come to mind. Anyways, if you were looking for an electronic device in our small town, back then someone would have mentioned RadioShack else you'd have to travel 20 miles one-way.
