What they did to me was kind of sneaky. I got a car hitch and a bike rack. Cost me $700.00 ish. I paid the bill and was good to go. They said to come back in a few days to get it installed. They said 2 hours. It became 6 hours. Wasn't mad it happens. But what surprised me was afterwards. They said there is a $150.00 installation fee. Nobody told me about this charge and it wasn't in the paper work. I was not happy about this surprise charge. I have a small business. You don't give surprise bills to clients. Because they feel cheated. And the look they gave me at the counter was disgusting. I didn't walk away happen. I walked away with disappointment and disgust.

The staff was so helpful when I showed up at the last minute on New Years Eve and needed to convert a ski rack for the new car I bought. Very helpful and friendly staff! Thanks for making my New Years Day a great one!

My permanent base rack installed on my Yaris on 9/29/2012 by Curtis, Installation Specialist. He was professional and took time before the install to address any questions and concerns that I had. The installation took about 1.5-2 hours. The install of the rack and fairing looks good on the car. After after driving back to Seattle, I noticed the small black plugs on the fairing were installed wrong. I emailed Rack Attack for some spare parts to fix the small issue and they mailed up the replacement plugs right away. The total cost was $550 for the permanent rack and fairing install. While it was little pricey, I’m glad I came here to have a professional perform the install. I would definitely come back here again.

I bought various items through the online store which were sent by the Portland store and am very happy about the service. I had mentioned in the notes that I'd like to have a certain code key so that I could use the same key for all of my gear and the folks at RA actually went out of their way to make sure all of the lock cores were of this same code (6 cores in total). Randy packed the order so I suppose it might have been him/her. I hope the employee that did that gets the accolades that he or she deserves as it added tremendous value from a customer service perspective at no cost to the company.

Asked about bicycle storage and car-carrying options. They actually took time to explain all the options and came up with different ways to work something out. Very impressed.

I've been here twice now. The first time was for help in rigging up a bracket for my old bike rack (which they did), the second was to pickup a Thule Universal key - they gave me one free of charge!
