Cute decor (fairy lights and lanterns galore), good coffee and wicked salads. Great for a casual client lunch or vino after work with the girls.

There aren't heaps of dishes to order here, but the brekkie meals I've tried are rich, tasty and generous in the way of portions and the coffee is great. This is a good place to head with friends on the weekend or for a client lunch (free wifi), with plenty of seating inside and out (plus, there's no reservations). Don't leave without trying the red velvet cake!

The guys behind the counter are like the cool pals you always wanted - super friendly, great vibes and they know what they're doing. Brilliant, speedy breakfast dishes (big selection) and cracking coffee. They accept Perx, Bitcoin and have free wifi. Gets busy in the morning, but to be expected.

With a great view of the river and chilled atmosphere, this is a fab place to kick back with a beer in the afternoon, or to stop for dinner. Highlights: the spring rolls are light, crispy and tangy, and the passionfruit cocktails are never-ending.

Not much of a dinner spot, as pretty much everything is a ready meal, but at least I've finally found a place where I can pick up flavoursome microwave meals. Not sure what I'd do without their lasagne.

Amazing, speedy coffee and handmade muffins (I saw them being mixed before my very eyes). Great for a brekkie meeting. Tip: the carrot cake is delish.

I'm not sure how I could live without The Parlour in Singapore - it's an amazing salon with American founder Jessi and British stylist Sarah at the helm. Jessi's cuts and colours are far better than I enjoyed in London, and they're affordable too. The Parlour is so cute and relaxed that I look forward to my visits and I'm almost sad when my cut, colour and occasional blowout is finished - oh yes, aside from talented, Jess is super speedy too. Seriously, if you're worried about your blonde highlights - get yourself here.
