Are you pulling before you catch?  So often we find #swimmers immediately driving that hand and arm down upon entry.  Take some time catch that water by ensuring your hand and forearm are facing straight back before you engage those lats for a highly propulsive pull!

Your #wetsuit is too constricting.  Time for a new wetsuit. An ill fitting wetsuit can ruin your #swim by causing anxiety from an inability to breathe, sore muscles, and cramps.  There are lots of highly flexible hydrodynamic wetsuits out there, try some new ones out.

Uh Oh! They discontinued your #favorite #running #shoes!  You’re screwed. Not really. Check out other brands that have similar shoe qualities.  Use reviews, help of a sales person and test potential shoes out.  When you find something you like, buy a lot of them.

Problem: Had a #bad #raceSolution: Time to hang it up. Just kidding. We’ve all had bad days! Have a positive attitude, learn from your mistakes, sign up for another race, savor the good days.

Problem: #Perma-stink (you know, that horrible problem where your workout clothes smell not matter how often you wash them)
Solution: Pre-soak with Oxy-clean. Workout by yourself.  Put on deodorant prior to your workout. Don’t leave your worn clothes in the hamper too long.  If all else fails, you now have a good rag.

Solution: They are cheap, toss it out!

Problem: Bonking at work
Solution: Bring snacks. Here are some of our favorites: trail mix, yogurt, mixed nuts, apple, sandwich, veggies with hummus, energy bars, pretzels, smoothie, triple shot of espresso.

Problem: Chain tattoo (aka Cat 5 tattoo)
Solution: Unclip on the opposite side of your drive train. Don’t lean your bike toward your leg when you are not clipped into your pedals.

Problem: Your spouse, #partner, significant other doesn’t support your #training and racing.
Solution: Communication and compromise are key. Plan a non-athletic vacation. Get your significant other involved in the sport.
