The marketing of falses crisis is slowing down our efforts to accomplish real advancements. When everything is or becomes a crisis, well, eventually it becomes the norm.

Fear is a motivating factor.  People use fear to sell many things.

Okay, but when is it over heating? A boot, at shutdown, during sleep, while typing, while watching movies?

Is it not being turned off before being stored? Is it waking up during storage in a briefcase?

When is it overheating might tell us what is causing the problem?
If you are one of the approximately 500 people in the U.S. using the Sony Vaio Fit 11A, you'll want to stop using that PC immediately. On Friday, the Japan-based electronics maker said the new Vaio convertible laptop was at risk of overheating and catching fire due to a faulty battery.  From Sony's announcement: Please immediately discontinue use, shut down and unplug the PC. We are currently identifying affected PCs by serial numbers and de...

It seems like Sony doesn't want to take any chances of using those batteries even for booting up the PC.

Smoking Pot has little affect on people.
Lufkin police said they responded to the home of Evelyn Hamilton, 37, to hear her complaint that the dealer refused to return her money. She allegedly pulled the marijuana from her bra when the officer asked if she still had it.

For those of you missing the irony of Eich resigning instead of involving himself in a public lynching I would refer you to "Atlas Shrugged" as the point is similar.

Not everyone believes that arguments can be settled by escalation beyond reason at all costs. Sometimes people just choose to walk away from a fight because they have better things to do than fight. Eventually reasonable people will just walk toward peace leaving the others to  squabble over scraps.

It does not good to drive discourse underground because there will be no one left to listen.
The forced resignation of Brendan Eich will have a chilling effect on political discourse.

I am sure that there are many invisible cases where people lost their jobs over political differences, but this story is probably reminder of those, like green peace activists or other action groups (political or not), trying to strong arm their enemies.

Sadly history will repeats itself.

Would anyone care to explain the Pricing in a MiniBar? I am going with Gouging.

When your prices are more than 7-11 for a space that cost the Hotel Nothing, you are Gouging. How is it Hotels have no concept of Supply and Demand when it comes to pricing in the minibars.

It can't cost them more than it costs a vending machine route operator to buy the same goods but they are surprised when people just won't buy the stuff.

Here is a plan, make the prices reasonable so that you will actually sell more stuff and make money in volume.
You may not have those $10 Heinekens and $6 bags of M&M's to kick around anymore. Happy now?

Well, she trusted the wrong people to run the numbers so she was partly responsible.  I blame the ones below her who falsely claimed that they can get the job done.  We need a butter knife to spread the blame more evenly.

Here is a Tip if you want to have a conversation or debate about a subject.

When the other person disagrees with you it does not mean they are saying you are wrong. Nor does it mean they are the cause of all Human suffering that you claimed to be happening in your post.

It only means they disagree with your points and want to have a conversation about the subject. Conversation and debate does not mean you get to bludgeon your opponent. It is not a fight to the death; it is just conversation.

Introduction
It is my Nature to be a problem solver. I live to solve real problems. By problems I do not mean the trivial or faddish tricks such as a Rubik's Cub I mean problems such as what are We doing wrong. I am not here to be "Nice" to people. I am here to fix things. Yes, I can be pleasant though often the two are confused. Fixing a broken leg is not done by being nice; it is done by doing what needs to be done though you can be pleasant while the leg is set. My goal is to travel the World provide solutions to problems from fixing a desert water pump to the most troubling software bug. If you have an insolvable problem, or know of someone who needs help, then drop me line as I may have a solution you might not have thought about.  You might know me as... Third time we have been back to them and they delivered on time and on Budget. And I am not sure who washed the cars for them but wow he or she does a great job; even the Wheels looked new by the time they returned the keys. Good job everyone and thank you for fixing my car, again.

I just had one of the 10 best meals of my life this week at Me & Mrs. G. We stopped in without reservation for the Queen's Jubilee dinner and they were full. As suggested we took a short walk and came back to be seated at a table with a clean white linen tablecloth. The Oxtail soup: perfection in homemade splendor. Silky broth with great beefy flavor and spices. While I forget which Wine was served I will say the Wine tasted like Wine and was perfect for the foods they serve. The Prawn Salad: To die for so much that I ordered a second just to make sure I was not dreaming. Mrs. G's dressing was flavor perfection for the perfectly cooked shrimp. The entire salad was just so amazing plated/arranged in that there was just the right amount of dressing, onions and greens to complete the delight. I was tempted to lick the plate clean. Caesar Salad: Again hand crafted so well it brought tears to my eyes while I was eating. Just the right amount of seasoning in the dressing over the greens and good croutons. Roast Beef with Yorkshire pudding: More than I could have hoped for. Silky gravy over fork tender Roast Beef with a Yorkshire Pudding as light as a good puff pasty. Bread Pudding Dessert: Heaven with a hint of Maple. Crispy on the edges with a creamy smooth feel on the tongue. Mrs G. is my new best friend in Hendersonville. (Best part? The meal is inexpensive and the portions are large.)

Drop in for a bite with four for dinner. The staff made room for us immediately. Appetizers arrived with in minutes, just after the beer and water. Excellent service all around. Main courses arrived hot, fresh and yummy. Large portions with plenty of sauces and good fresh rice for the table. I ordered the Tandori platter which arrived sizzling wth plenty on it. Fresh lemon, tomatoes and onions. Non? The flat bread was excellent and fresh made. Thank you for a wonderful fast and inexpensive meal.
