REBNY #Brooklyn Buzz: There are still up and coming Brooklyn neighborhoods as well as a whisper enclave according to Douglas Steiner of Steiner NYC. Featured speaker at the Real Estate Board of New York’s February Brooklyn meeting, Mr. Steiner extolled the changes in Bed-Stuy but predicted Sunset Park will shine brilliantly. In addition, Mr. Steiner raved about the cultural scene and artistic residents in Boerum Hill.

Steiner NYC has 3 projects in development; 2 in Brooklyn and 1 in Manhattan. REBNY members were given unfettered access to all the plans and strategies for 815 Broadway (60 units) in Bushwick, 3rd & Flatbush and Schemerhorn across from BAM (750 units), and 438 East 12th ST (160 units).
Mr. Steiner believes Brooklyn’s next wave of residents will include large numbers of college students which will contribute greatly to a 24/7 community. REBNY’s Brooklyn Committee meets monthly. Contact adonovan@rebny.com for info.
