We are excited and proud to sponsor Columbia University's Institute for Research in African-American Studies (IRAAS) one day Teachers and Scholars Institute (TSI), Women Picturing Revolution: Focus on Africa and the African Diaspora. This incredible one day seminar (on March 11, 2017, 10am-5pm) will examine contemporary photography and the conditions under which women in and/or from Africa or the African Diaspora make images.

This work is part of an ongoing research on the Qiana® nylon fabric invented by the American chemical company DuPont in the 1960s; I was named after this fabric.
