Today I tested the Dragonfly prototype and captured video of it pumping water in five mile per hour wind!  Check out the video to see how efficient this exciting new technology really is!

The future of clean energy and the world is not in burning dead dinosaur goo. Congratulations Tesla for showing just how beneficial clean energy can be for our planet and economy. http://bit.ly/2f2uYq3

This is Terrafin, one of Pterofin's single wing prototypes, made of PVC and Bamboo canvased with plastic wrap.  There are a few steel welded parts for testing, but our goal is to make the entire body out of recycled plastics or materials found in a junkyard.
Alternatively, plans and/or core components of the Terrafin could be sold or donated and finished assembling using locally sourced materials, such as plastic pipe.  The end goal for this route would be to eventually build an entire Terrafin out of wood or bamboo, allowing it to be carbon neutral and assembled using only your bare hands.
The power being produced lights up a LED from a shake flashlight, with its magnet attached to a cable, which is attached to a lever arm protruding from the drive shaft that holds the wing.

Simply put, "Any change in the magnetic environment of a coil of wire will cause a voltage (emf) to be "induced" in the coil. No matter how the change is produced, the voltage will be generated. The change could be produced by changing the magnetic field strength, moving a magnet toward or away from the coil, moving the coil into or out of the magnetic field, rotating the coil relative to the magnet, etc."

We completed the first of many high wind speed tests yesterday to demonstrate the pitching back portion of Pterofin technology. The video posted shows a Pterofin moving 25mph in it's dormant state, proving it's versatility and reliability.
