We are four college-aged men who are seeking something more. We are taking a journey of a lifetime, riding our bikes 1800 miles from Seattle to San Diego. Along the way we will be stopping in cities and volunteering with organizations we have previous relationships with. These organizations specialize in homeless and working poor ministries. We will also have the opportunity to use our musical talents (Jesse and Kyle) to have shows in these cities to raise funds and awareness for the organizations and the problems facing that city. The main hope behind this trip is that we can show people through our experiences that being a loving and caring part of society is not about charity, but instead about equality and justice. If as a society we believe that every person is created equal, then the thought of thousands of men, women, and children in our country going hungry and without a place to sleep every night should bother us. If we can begin to see these people truly as they are; equals, human beings that have worth and just want to be known and loved, then we believe that action will follow naturally. This action will not come from a place of guilt, but from a place of love. We would love for you to follow us through this journey of hope, love and perception change. Thank you.

Great news! After a a great 2 years off the boys of Project 47/32 are at it again. Under the Name; Boys of Summer:Goin' Coastal. We will be embarking on an even longer bike journey traveling from Washington to Maine. We will pass through 8 national parks,22 states and nearly 6,000 miles. This journey will take us around 4 months and will be a trip of a lifetime. Along the way we will find any opportunity we can to shine a light on people who are pouring into their communities ,whether it is a after school program, homeless outreach or urban agriculture. We hope that as we embark on this journey we can count on the support of our great following, and maybe even inspire some change. Enjoy.

Day 32- Now

As you know, we made it to San Diego and were welcomed right in by some of our friends here. We made the most of San Diego's beaches but also had the opportunity to work at the San Diego Rescue Mission on friday. This is an incredible organization that houses nearly 200 men and a number of women and children. Everyone who was there was either in a year long program to sobriety or was interning there after they had graduated from the program. Like some of the other organizations we have worked with, this place takes the men in off the streets and gives them a second chance. They prepare them to reenter the working world, much more prepared than before. Our experience working there really reaffirmed what we have been doing on this trip. (Video to come about our time at San Diego Rescue Mission)

We played two concerts in while in San Diego. We stayed with a friends mom, and she was nice enough to open her home to us as a place to stay as well as a venue. We played thursday night for the book club of the woman's house we were staying at. It was a hoot. Our real concert was the next night and was full of old friends. Not only did we get to talk about our trip, but we got to give everyone the chance to learn way more about how to interact and treat homeless individuals. The San Diego Rescue Mission is doing an awesome awareness clinic called Sleepless in San Diego. In other new, after 25 hours of driving, WE MADE IT HOME!!
