A Yacht in the Dubai Marina

Last night after the PhotoWalk, Rene Smith and I walked around for about five more hours... So Many Photos.  We got Quite Hassled by security guards everywhere.  We mostly ignored them or tried various distraction-techniques, most of which worked flawlessly.  A few were quite flawed, but we're learning the ropes here.  There is literally a security guard every 20 meters to make sure you are only taking photos with iPhone/Android and not nice cameras. I find this quite silly of course, so I just ignore them and keep talking in confusing ways until I get my shot, then I move to the next area and repeat the same inane conversation! #Dubai

All relationships have one law. Never make the one you love feel alone, especially when you’re there.

Many pencils across the world, and almost all in Europe, are graded on the European system using a continuum from "H" (for hardness) to "B" (for blackness), as well as "F", a letter arbitrarily chosen to indicate midway between HB and H. (It is a persistent myth that "F" stands for "Fine"; grade F pencils are no more fine or easily sharpened than any other grade). The standard writing pencil is graded HB. According to Petroski, this system might have been developed in the early 20th century by Brookman, an English pencil maker. It used "B" for black and "H" for hard; a pencil's grade was described by a sequence or successive Hs or Bs such as BB and BBB for successively softer leads, and HH and HHH for successively harder ones.

Sometimes you need to step outside, get some air, and remind yourself of who you are and what you want to be. The best thing you can do is follow your heart. Take risks. Don’t just accept the safe and easy choices because you’re afraid of what others will think, or afraid of what might happen. If you do, nothing will ever happen. Don’t let small minds convince you that your dreams are too big. They aren’t. -- read: http://www.marcandangel.com/2015/02/08/7-things-you-should-insist-on-no-matter-what-people-say/
