On behalf of Premier BPO staff in Philippines I would like to thanks you all for supporting us to arrange Aliwa Festival. Our staff did an extraordinary job and took full participation in celebrating the event. I myself felt myself in the middle of a carnival parade. Almost all items were made by the staff themselves. The level of competition among teams was intense. Every day I could see teams having corner meetings after their working hours to practice their acts. I was amazed to see that some of the dishes they prepared. As a whole the event was success and everyone enjoyed it.

Replace IVR with live agents, offshore customer service is far better idea to save cost.

Interestingly, companies pay a lot of “lip service” to the customer experience, then create intricate IVR Trees that create frustration and sometimes even anger. Customers often refer to it as “IVR Hell” as they Touch 1 for this, then 2 for that. Many times, these rat mazes don’t even provide an opt-out to an operator. Not my idea of a great customer experience.

To streamline Nokia’s IT operations, it downsizes with cutting 300 staff from Nokia’s payroll and adopts BPO approaches, outsourcing 820 jobs. Nokia also reducing its global IT operations by up to 300 employees by outsourcing IT operations to BPO industry in India.
