What do I do before taking a road trip?

1. Make sure everything is SAFE!
Tires are a huge safety issue people can forget about on road trips. We're the #1 local installer for tirerack.com, a tire wholesale site. Talk to your service adviser about how far you need to go, and if your tires are up for the challenge.
Everyone knows how important brakes are, and a road trip is the perfect time to get them inspected. We'll provide measurements and pictures of all portions of your brakes.
2. Plan for the worst and expect the best!
Old wiper blades can ruin your visibility and be unsafe in the rain. Replacement of wiper blades is a quick and easy way to prepare for your trip.
Spare tires are easy to take for granted! We provide a spare tire service, which includes lubricating all portions of the spare system, making sure all needed parts are there and ensuring that the tire is filled with air. We hope you'll never need your spare, but we'll take care of it just in case.
3. Keep yourself comfortable!
Making sure you don't have any unpleasant vibrations is important when you're driving a long way. Keeping your tires balanced is a good way to make sure you're comfortable.
Is your AC working correctly? Driving in the heat with no air conditioning can be a very unpleasant experience. Luckily, we can help you take care of that!

Remember, #roadtrips can be safe, fun and comfortable.

Hey everybody! Have you ever wondered "why do my air filters matter?"

If you have, we're here to help! Most vehicles have two air filters.

1. The Cabin air filter
2. The Engine air filter (also known as the engine filter)

The cabin air filter is what filters the air we breathe. So, when your car is goes through dust or any inclement weather, your cabin air filter is what keeps the outside out. There's an old saying, "if you don't change your cabin filter, you ARE your cabin filter!"

The engine air filter prevents contaminants from getting into the engine. When the filter is not changed it can reduce gas mileage and decrease how well the engine performs. Having a clogged or dirty engine filter is like trying to run a marathon with a hand covering your mouth.

This probably counts as maintenance AND repair!
TIRE SAFETY!

The tires in this picture looked perfectly normal from the outside, but the inside edge was coming apart. Tires have thick metal "cords" inside of them holding the tire together. When we start to see these cords, it means the rubber has worn away completely and the tires are no longer safe!

If you've ever wondered why an alignment matters or why a tire rotation matters, this is the perfect example. If tires are out of alignment they will wear unevenly (like the ones in this photo) and replacement is costly. Regularly rotating and balancing your tires is an excellent way to make sure they're going to last as long as possible.

Why do I need to change my brake fluid?

Changing brake fluid is important to keep your braking system running smoothly for as long as possible and to avoid expensive repair.

Brake fluid is a "dry fluid" which means it absorbs moisture from the air. Brake lines are made of metal, so more moisture in brake fluid = rusting brake lines.

We want to avoid your brake lines getting rusty and potentially breaking.

Why does my car need shocks? Why does my car need struts?

Do you ever wonder what shocks and struts actually do?

Your shocks and struts allow your tires to wear evenly, provide a smoother ride and can even shorten your stopping distance. We want to keep you riding smooth and safe!

Spark Plugs
In many Dodge vehicles, manufacturers will recommend replacing spark plugs every 30,000 miles (or roughly two years)

In the picture below you can see the difference between our brand new spark plug vs the older worn out one.

If spark plugs are left in a vehicle for too long, they will create a misfire. Regular replacement will keep your car running smoothly!
