The Lane at the end of the Ocean!

This image was captured last year at Tybee Island in Savannah Georgia which is one of my favorite spot to watch the sunrise. I had been to Savannah on several occasions but never imagined the night sky would be so gorgeous near the oceanfront until last year when I was on a vacation at Tybee. I was lucky to have crystal clear skies on that day. After hours of shooting, I laid on the beach; against the soft cold sand. My mind wondered around in space confused, amused and frightened by the sight of two different infinite worlds colliding at infinity. Infinite ocean and infinite space. I felt so lost in time and space continuum. Then there was light, a bright shining milky way lane at the end of the ocean.

Celestial Dreams!

What really fascinates me is the notion that there’s a beautiful world out there, beyond the horizon, bathed in divine light. The world that starts in silent stillness of the dark, and disperse into the universe of radiant stars. And about millions of light years away, a city lies along the celestial river, as resplendent as the mystical city of Gods. Milky way seasons are filled with magic and dreams as such.

Clingmans Dome in Great Smoky Mountains National Park, on a moonless night, is where most of those dreams come alive. With a pinch of madness and tons of coffee, was how this image was captured.

Happy new year everyone! Hope I'm not too late.

Not my personal favorite but I still wanted to share. I thought there will be fireworks bursting across the Atlanta skyline but this year it was too quite and cold. Maybe I was at the wrong place. Hope your new year is off to a great start. Cheers!

The last song!

Another year passed by and I remember all the nights I spent chasing the winds in Chattahoochee National forest. Dreading as I would be, in the middle of the forest off of moon, to the roar of the wild. Some days, the night would pass ungraciously bereft of shining stars. And some days, the night sky would be adorned with astral bodies such that every thing else goes silent except for the song of the heavenly host. Unheard and unseen. In tune with the rise and fall of the Milky way. The last song of the night.

This image was taken from the base of Blood mountain, Vogel state park, in Chattahoochee-Oconee National Forest.

The lonely way!

Sound of the silent breeze and that of the flattering trees. There was another silence. The third silence. About 100,000 light years away, the silence of milky way as the stars collapse and form. And they begin to merge in the darkest hours of the night. Sharp dressed stars, ardent devotees of the Melkeveien, struck the lake with sparks. Killing all the silence there ever was. Traversing the earth as lonely as the clouds. --- Boyle Murder Lake, Charlie Elliott Wildlife Center, Georgia
