1) App Permissions
Simplified App permissions. Also apps would request permission when using app rather than during install. It's the same way as MIUI has been handling permissions for years.
2) Web Experience
Chrome custom tabs. Web links opened from apps open up in Chrome Custom tabs which are themed according to app being used. Now this is really cool feature and makes the whole native app and web experience seamless.
3) App Links
Improved intent system. For example Twitter links open up directly in Twitter rather than asking for either opening up in browser or twitter app.
4) Mobile Payments
A new open platform for money transfer and mobile payments. Contactless payments via NFC.
5) Fingerprint Support
Native finger print support. A dedicated standard API introduced. Can unlock, can be linked with Android Pay, Play Store purchases and also sign ins.
6) Power & Charging
New feature introduced. Doze. Motion detection puts device to doze mode. Battery life improved twice compared to Lollipop. Native support for USB Type C.

As an individual, I find Apple's conduct to be highly problematic as well. It's behaving like Ebenezer Scrooge. Apple has $160 billion in cash. That's enough money to completely cover the expected revenue of Apple Music for 12 years. It's so much money that Apple could easily buy all the major record labels. And yet, to launch their new service, it is unwilling to cover the cost of the first three month trial.
So, spot on Taylor! Why should artists, and especially the small indie artists who are already struggling financially, pay for the cost of launching Apple Music?
Here is Taylor's post: http://taylorswift.tumblr.com/post/122071902085/to-apple-love-taylor
