Appeal to friends or friends friends from the Houston area. (please share) . This is a legit Appeal . The grand mother mentioned in this post is the neighbor of a close friend in Sharjah UAE.

Some press on Akash Dube - http://wn.com/Chennai's_race_against_cancer

Subject: An Appeal- Race against

Our grandson Akash Dube ,age19 ,a student of Stanford, is suffering from a relapse of Luekemia and needs urgent help.

He is in need of single donor platelets almost every day so we need to prepare a donor's list. Then, when the Drs ask ,we can send one donor each day for the platelets. Single donor platelets cannot be stored. Donors need to be in Houston and MD Anderson Cancer center accepts only donations made at their blood bank at Holly Hall for this purpose. Also the donor should not have travelled outside USA in the last 12 months.

We have very few friends or acquaintances in Houston and rely entirely on your generosity in this battle for our grandson's life.
Please email me your ph. No. and email. id with a copy to Sujata and help us. ( email rkgdube@gmail.com)

PLEASE DO NOT DONATE PLATELETS UNLESS REQUESTED as they have to be on the same day as required.

Yours in hope,

GAY DUBE( grandmother). Email. rkgdube@gmail.com

Very Cool

When I was young, I really liked playing with Legos, and eventually got some "expert builder" ones you can actually make just about anything out of (now often called technic). In college I built an inkjet printer out of these Legos and some electronics I built.

But this is amazing -- whole working robotic human hand out of Legos! What amazing mechanical Lego creations have you seen?

The United States added a robust 200,000 new jobs last month, the Labor Department said, in a sign that the economic recovery was gaining momentum.

Fish food... literally!
Yes, you are seeing tiny fish eating the dead skin off of my toes! Originating from Turkey, these freshwater "doctor fish" have been used for more than 100 years to treat serious skin conditions such as psoriasis.

Today, they can be found in regular foot spas and have become a common trend in Europe, Asia and the UK (and now slowly spreading to the Mid East). Curiously enough, they seem to have been banned in 14 US states for hygiene reasons!

These photos were taken today in a Cairo mall. Cost is equivalent to $10 for 15 minutes. Have you tried it?

A lot of the problems we face are essentially man-made, so naturally as human beings we should also be able to reduce them. Natural disasters, of course, are in a different category, but according to environmental scientists even they may owe something to human behaviour. Therefore, if we are optimistic, take a longer view, and we employ realistic methods, we can contribute to making the world a better place.

Absolutely disappointed... Visited this shop today to buy a bike for my son because of a very positive experience I had a few years ago when I bought my bike (under the old ownership)... Yes it was a Saturday and a busy day.....but after half an hour of walking through the store not a single person even approached to help... I am a lot forgiving and try to help small mom and pop shops but this is absolutely unacceptable customer service.....regardless of what day of the week it is .
