Unity is the best!

Though its one the most highly criticized Desktop Environments, Unity is still my favorite because they try to stand for one thing which is very much lacking in the Linux and Open Source world: Standardization in Desktop, UI and other things.

The Year of Linux Desktops is Here!

This is 2016 and I have a feeling that the year of Linux Desktops has already gone past by us. Below are the four most useful Linux apps that are most commonly used by users in all spheres of life.

On top-left is LibreOffice Calc, one of the most commonly used programs, the Spreadsheet (Alternative to Excel).

On bottom-left is GNU Image Manipulation Program (GIMP), a practical and viable alternative to Adobe Photoshop - most commonly used by Graphic Designers.

On right side is the NetBeans IDE, one of the favorites of programmers who develop software - a practical alternative to Microsoft Visual Studio.

Let me know what software you use on Linux in the comments below!
