The lineup for this year's Colours of Ostrava festival is shaping up, with Jamiroquai joining the previously announced headliners Imagine Dragons, Norah Jones and Alt-J. The festival runs July 19–22 in Dolní Vítkovice, a former industrial area in Ostrava in northern Moravia.

While it is fairly easy to cross the Vltava to get from one side of Prague to the other, there are still some places where a substantial detour is required. A new bridge called Dvorecký most is planned near Žluté lázně, and is the closest to being realized.

Náplavka could see some improvements by next summer. An architectural study will be discussed by City Hall in February. The plan calls for more galleries, cafes and toilets in the wall under Rašínovo nábřeží.

Opera star Plácido Domingo will be conducting two performances of Mozart's opera Don Giovanni to mark the 230th anniversary of when Mozart himself conducted the world premiere of the opera at Prague's Estates Theater.

Prague City Hall is considering a plan that would limit cars in Malá Strana and block them in Pohořelec, near Prague Castle.

Farmers markets are set to resume at Naplávka at Rašínovo nábřeží on Feb. 4, with Czech farmers and food producers hawking their wares for the eighth year. The markets will take place every Saturday from 8 am to 4 pm.
