Many of us use our dryers regularly without thinking of the possible risks associated with a plugged or clogged up dryer duct.

Homeowners are often puzzled why their clothes dryer takes longer to dry a load of clothes than it used to. The answer is pretty simple, but it has some serious implications.

You Get what you pay for !

So as the saying goes in this industry, don't get a "blow & go" job and waste your hard earned dollars. Choose wisely!!
*Make sure the company is a member in good standing of
NADCA.
*See if the company has been in business long enough to
have adequate experience.
*Get proof that the company is properly licensed and
adequately insured.
*Verify that the company is certified by NADCA to perform
HVAC system cleaning.
*Make sure that the company is going to clean and visually i
inspect all of the air ducts and related system components.
*Avoid advertisements for “$99 whole house specials” and
other sales gimmicks.
*Ask if the company has the right equipment to effectively
perform cleaning, and if the company has done work in
homes similar to yours.

Changing your furnace filter
As we get ready for winter, there are many things to do in the yard as well as in the house. One of the important tasks that is often overlooked is replacing the furnace filter. The main purpose of a furnace filter is to protect the blower fan and equipment from all the dust, hair and other particulate matter the return duct pulls in.
A clean furnace filter and clean ductwork will help extend the life of your furnace.

Air Duct Cleaning and Indoor Air Quality
Indoor air quality is a big concern for homeowners when they decide to investigate air duct cleaning. In a typical six-room house, up to 40 pounds of dust is created annually through everyday living. Your heating and cooling system is the lungs of your home. The HVAC system taken air in and breathes air out.

Through normal occupation in a home, we generate a large amount of contaminants and air pollutants, such as dander, dust, and chemicals. These contaminants are pulled into the HVAC system through the returns and re-circulated 5 to 7 times per day, on average through the supply ductwork. Over time, this re-circulation causes a build-up of particulate matter & contaminants in the duct work.

While dirty ductwork does not t necessarily mean unhealthy air in your home, school or workplace, it may be contributing to larger health issues or harboring contaminants that could cause serious problems for people with respiratory health conditions, health issues or allergies.
