PowerHawke is pleased to introduce a new offering to our customers.  PowerHawke has partnered with 70E Solutions to provide a worry-free, reliable program to ensure your electrical workers stay safe.
Per 1910.137(b)(2). OSHA requires that “protective equipment be maintained in a safe, reliable condition.”  This can lead to headaches for employers and managers, trying to keep track of glove expiration and re-testing dates.  We’ll eliminate all headaches and get you set up with a rotational program to test and circulate gloves.  Storage of the spare set will take place at 70E Solutions facility so you don’t have even worry about that.

Your facility’s electrical distribution system is in tip top shape… right?   If you’re pausing or second guessing, you are not alone.  The majority of facility managers, building owners or engineers will readily answer yes to this question but without regular inspections and maintenance, how can one be so sure?
What is your business’s most important asset? It’s not the expensive gear behind the gray boxes in your electrical rooms. It’s the people who work on them. Their safety is a priority and their contribution to your company’s bottom line is paramount.  Infrared windows reduce the occurrence of the majority of electrical accidents during energized inspections and protect employees and employers concerned from the physical, financial, and statutory consequences related to this type of accident.
IRISS windows come in a variety of shapes and sizes, and even custom applications to fit your electrical gear.

You know when to get your car's oil changed, but do you know when you should have your electrical system checked out?

A small investment in preventive maintenance can save you a lot of money, and headaches, in the future should something go wrong.

The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) reports that the failure rate of electrical components is three times higher for systems without preventive maintenance programs.

PowerHawke is hosting NFPA 70E: Electrical Safety in the Workplace Training in both its Connecticut and Nashville, TN locations.
Training this year is more important than ever as the 2015 Edition of NFPA 70E just was released this month.   The new edition introduces a major change in how stakeholders evaluate electrical risk -- so that owners, managers, and employees can work together to ensure an electrically safe working area and comply with OSHA 1910 Subpart S and OSHA 1926 Subpart K.
NFPA 70E Article 110.2.D requires training every 3 years, or when changes to the code are unveiled.  If you haven't been trained in NFPA 70E yet, or it's been a few years it's a great opportunity to attend.   This eight hour course focuses on the dangers of arc flash and how to avoid them and be in compliance with NFPA 70E, which OSHA uses as a benchmark for electrical safety.
