Founder and executive chairman Derrick Potter started Potter Logistics as a one-man enterprise in Yorkshire back in 1965. Today the
business employs more than 200 staff providing high quality, UK
freight, warehousing, distribution and logistics services to clients in
almost every type of business from five regional distribution centres.
During the past three decades the company has taken up the cause of
rail freight as a viable alternative to increasing road congestion and
pollution. Continued investment in the infrastructure of its three
rail-connected centres illustrates its long-term commitment to the
commercial and environmental benefits of rail freight.
