This homeowner in the DC area had a hallway with dark, veined marble tile that had become dull and with visible etching. Etching happens when an acidic substance, such as lemon juice or cleaning products, is left on a marble or other calcite based natural stone surface. No matter what this homeowner tried, it could not be removed.

Potomac Stonecare specializes in etch removal, providing the same dramatic results you see in these images.

The Mexican tile in this home had lost its luster and the grout lines were very dirty. Sweeping and mopping only seemed to drive the grime in further. First, we completely stripped the floor to remove any waxes or coatings and cleaned the grout lines thoroughly. After giving the floor ample dry time, we applied a gloss acrylic seal to give it the beautiful shine you see in the AFTER image.
