We engaged with Portent for a PPC campaign through their 'PPC Essentials' program. Based on Portent's claims, description of services, customer reviews, and industry recognition we felt confident Portent's services would be useful in elevating the campaign's performance. We were sorely disappointed. After our agreement was finalized with the manager, we were assigned a specialist to our campaign. I monitored their activities on the account, and found the little work they performed was of poor quality. They set up new ad groups without extensions or mobile ads and their work was sloppy and near amateur. We terminated their services after only three weeks as a result. While they may say need more time to improve a campaign's performance, I'm not one for paying for low quality services. I would not recommend using the PPC Essentials plan. It appears to be geared towards taking advantage of the Portent name and spending minimal time and skill on small business owners AdWords accounts to maximize profits. My opinion in Portent as a company is seriously diminished.

When I think of Portent Interactive, I think of synonyms for the word 'rad'. They are results driven experts who are personable and fun to work with.

As a long-time partner of Portent Interactive, we've found them to be thoroughly knowledgeable about a stunning variety of internet marketing topics. Their deep and talented team goes the extra mile for us, putting in weekends and late night work when required. But it's not just effort, we get results too. They have helped us increase our total online revenue by huge amounts in the past 12 months. Great job, team and thank you, Portent!

We engaged Portent to help with PPC, as part of their 'PPC Essentials' plan for small businesses. We chose them because of their claims about being leading experts in PPC. They convinced us we needed an "account audit" (US$800), which is no where mentioned on their 'Essentials' page. This audit basically consisted of a completely new set up on our Adwords account that appeared to be written by a two year old. The ad copy was so poor we asked them to rewrite it at least two times. When challenged about some of their logic, they sent long defensive emails by reply that showed us they really didn't look into our account in any depth. They then wanted us to pay in advance for the first month, however we were so worried by the lack of attention to detail we requested that they confirm they will provide a higher level of service, to which they replied that we needed to, "come to terms with their service and strategy”! Basically saying that as a customer we know nothing and should accept second-class service and support. We have asked for a reply from Ian Lauire ("Chairman"), asking for a response or refund, of which we have received neither. Portent's commitment to their customers is pathetic. Avoid at all costs.

This is the second time I have worked with Portent Interactive and as far as I can tell they are some of the smartest internet people around. Ian and his team are creative, brilliant and do what they say when they say they will do it. We are VERY satisfied with the work we have done together.

We have worked with Portent on various aspects of our search engine marketing and they truly are internet marketing experts. We have seen our search rankings improve and Web site traffic increase since we started working with them last year.
