What makes a good kickstarter video?

In this video I try to answer that question. I talk about Claud Hopkins and his book “My Life in Advertising”. And I explore why showing the build a product is “Artisanal” and why that’s so powerful way to position your product and to provoke product demand from the viewer.

Everything is Awesome in Scotland - Filmed by a media company based in San Francisco

visit polygonvisuals.com for more info

While traveling in Scotland, Filmmaker / Cinematographer Tony Mac used his drone to film the beautiful landscape.

There were castles, hills, trees, sheep, farms.

There was also an amazing bridge and streams. Basically, a compilation of aerial shots that were filmed while roaming around for 3 days in Scotland.

Equipment: DJI Phantom 2 and GoPro Hero 3+.

San Francisco Video Production-Coloring Backgrounds
Call 415-857-0859 or visit polygonvisuals.com for more info

In this video, Tony, our Lead Cinematographer saw that the background of our commercial video was a bit dark. The background contained the clients logo and we wanted to emphasize the logo and make it pop out a little more. We used Davinci Resolve to correct the brightness of the background. We couldn’t just mask the entire area because we needed the foreground to look and remain natural.

So the steps Tony took was first to make a circle mask around the frame where the logo is.

Then he used the similar color tool, and what this tool does is it makes a mask for the hand.

Now here’s where it gets interesting, we mask the hand, but we invert the mask so that the brightness only applies to the wall containing the logo.

And there you can see the changes to the wall without changes to the hand and the shot looks completely natural.

Finally, we add some run of the mill warmth and standard color correction and the normalize the frames and viola, sleekness.

So there ya have it. Again, this video was called:
