Gill and Martin are exceptional hosts very welcoming and friendly. The whole hotel is very clean and the beds are excellent. The hotel is ideally situated just outside the town of Looe just a short train ride away along the scenic estuary. We will certainly be back. Martin & Penny, Cheltenham

The house is very nicely set up with clean and comfortable rooms, well decorated, a roomy lounge, cosy bar, nice conservatory/restaurant & garden & there's plenty of parking. Gill and Martin were very welcoming and helpful and made us feel completely at home. We had our evening meals in the restaurant - good quality, locally sourced food, beautifully prepared and presented. Martin is an excellent cook and the breakfasts were equally delicious. We liked Looe and enjoyed walking the coastal path to Polperro & going on a boat trip. All in all a lovely relaxing stay, helped by sunny weather. Would come here again and would definitely stay at Polraen if we do.

"Idyllic" was the immediate adjective that came to my mind when I arrived at Polrean Country House Hotel. Not surprisingly, the same adjective struck my partner, Elaine, and her son, Simon. And idyllic proved the four days and nights we spent there. Ensconced like a pearl within the Cornish countryside, with the light on its glorious gardens offering myriad shades of green even in dull, rainy days, it is the perfect place of retreat for those who seek retreats. For those who prefer livelier activities, a few miles will take you to such magical towns as Looe and Polperro or a bit further to Fawey and the Eden Project and indeed to countless other beauty spots. But, of course, to attain perfection even magical habitats and glorious Nature need to be complemented by the human touch. And Polrean Country House does have this touch par excellence. The hosts, Gill and Martin Bridges, full of warmth and smiles and tirelessly helpful, make you feel so much at home that by the time you leave, you feel you and they have become a family. No wonder that Gill has been nominated as the AA Landlady of the year. Last, Moreover, the feeling of being part of a family is all the more pronounced when Martin becomes the archetypal Mother and serves the sort of wonderful feasts that most of our mothers, bless them, can only dream about.

Einfach online kucken.
