No, Being Told You Can’t Persecute People is Not Persecution
This is an old story with Christianity, feeling persecuted just by having to co-exist with non-Christians.
Dr. Richard Land calls opposing persecution of others "ugly...thuggish...brutish. It's the totalitarian left in all of its ugly face."

Obama Takes Down Dick Cheney and The Koch Brothers At White House Correspondents’ Dinner

Obama leveled Dick Cheney, “A few weeks ago Dick Cheney said he thinks I am the worst president of his lifetime, which is interesting because I think Dick Cheney is the worst president of my lifetime.”
President Obama came out swinging and pulled no punches while taking out Ted Cruz, Jeb Bush, Dick Cheney, and devoted an entire segment to the Koch Brothers during his White House Correspondents' Dinner remarks.

The Koch Brothers Try To Fool The American People With An Evil PR Campaign

It has been just about a year since Charles Koch wrote a ‘woe is me’ op-ed to combat the bad publicity resulting from Senators Harry Reid and Bernie Sanders battering the Koch brothers for assaulting Americans in their quest for power and influence over government. Now that more Americans are aware that the Kochs own Republicans and bought them control of Congress, and that their goal is deconstructing the federal government, the Kochs are launching a huge multi-media publicity campaign to change their image and convince Americans the Kochs are their friends and benefactors. The primary message the Kochs intend to push is that they are not out to increase their own wealth, but to help Americans and create a better society.

#Kochtopus #Kochsuckers  #Oligarchy
What is missing from the long list of Koch demands to abolish virtually the entire government is exactly how it will help Americans.

Conservatives Suddenly Become Tom Brady Fans After QB Skips Out On White House Visit

The New England Patriots visited the White House Thursday to be honored for winning the Super Bowl against the Seattle Seahawks back in February. Nearly the entire team made it to the ceremony. However, there was one notable exception as starting quarterback, and face of the franchise, Tom Brady was a no-show as he had to attend to “family obligations.” The QB made trips to the White House after his previous three Super Bowl victories, which all occurred while George W. Bush was president.

Keith Olbermann Rails Against Corporate Censorship And Restriction Of Media Access

Keith Olbermann discussed how sports leagues and teams are looking to censor the media by only allowing access to reporters who will act like public relation firms and write stories that benefit their bottom line. In a segment regarding the future of sports, Olbermann commended Major League Baseball for incorporating statistics and game information in broadcasts, stating they understand younger viewers are driven by data and graphics. At the same time, he suggested that the future of sports media is based on corporate censorship and blatant propaganda.

Rush Limbaugh Uses Spieth’s Masters Win To Justify Augusta’s History Of Racism And Sexism

Limbaugh brought up Augusta for a bit while speaking reverently about the young golfer, but just maintained that they were doing their best to keep their traditions while evolving “on their timetable.” Only later on, after taking some calls, did Rush decide to defend Augusta’s history of bigotry and somehow connect their resistance to change with the times to Spieth being a “class individual.” Obviously knowing he was making the case that racism is acceptable, the right-wing host defensively stated that liberals would misconstrue his words.
During Monday's broadcast of The Rush Limbaugh Show, conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh spent several minutes going absolutely gaga over 21-year-old Jordan Spieth's record-setting performance at the Masters over the weekend and used the victory to make a critique on American society.

Keith Olbermann Says It’s ‘Time To Draw The Line’ When It Comes To Domestic Violence

"_You will support this excuse for a man? You will help him to behave as if his conduct is acceptable in the 21st century? Or the 20th? Or the 19th? I won’t. I regret this deeply. I met Manny Pacquiao last year. And a quieter, more respectful, more dignified boxer I’ve never encountered. May he make millions more but I will not give Floyd Mayweather a dime."_
-Keith Olbermann
During Friday night's broadcast of ESPN2's Olbermann, host Keith Olbermann questioned whether or not we as a sports viewing audience should give our time to either the NFL Draft or the "Fight of the Century" due to the fact that the main participants may have engaged in violence against women.

Gay Hotel Owners Who Hosted Ted Cruz Event Face Backlash From Activists

Two gay hoteliers, Ian Reisner and Mati Weiderpass, who invited Ted Cruz to their Manhattan duplex, are facing a political backlash from LGBT activists for hosting the controversial Texas Senator at their home.

Although Cruz was invited primarily to speak about his support for the Israeli government, he also briefly touched on LGBT issues, taking a softer tone than he usually puts out during his stump speeches in Middle America. While he maintained his opposition to gay marriage, Cruz also stated that he wouldn’t love his daughters any less if it turned out they were gay.

Ian and Mati are brilliant to reach out to a rival like this.  We should see more of this and less baloney from so-called "activists".  These hotel owners have shown themselves to be more genuine activists than the "activists".  Kudos to them.

It Looks Like Bernie Sanders Is Going To Run For President

If Sen. Sanders (I-VT) does run, it will be great news for Democrats and liberals on numerous fronts. Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) is not running. Former Maryland Gov. Martin O’Malley has not traction with Democratic voters. Sen. Sanders is largely unknown to many rank and file Democrats, but he is on television often enough that he has more of a base of support than any of the other non-Clinton Democrats who are considering running.

It is looking more and more likely that Sen. Bernie Sanders is going to challenge Hillary Clinton and run for the 2016 Democratic nomination.

Keith Olbermann Mocks Cleveland Browns Uniforms: ‘So The Word ‘STATE’ Will Be Added Later?’

Shortly after the Cleveland Browns unveiled their new uniforms Tuesday night, ESPN commentator Keith Olbermann took to Twitter to offer his opinion of the new threads, and it wasn’t flattering. The Browns have spent the offseason going through a sort of rebranding process, starting with a change in the team’s logo, and culminating at a gala where many of Cleveland’s players strutted on stage wearing the new uniforms. After photos from the unveiling hit the net, Olbermann sent a tweet stating the updated uniforms looked like they belonged on a college team.

Real Liberal Politics...No Corporate Money...No Corporate Masters
Introduction

PoliticusUSA was founded in February of 2008 by Jason Easley. Jason had a vision of a liberal and independent news site which would offer a mix politics and opinion in an unfiltered environment, not beholden to any specific political or media agenda. PoliticusUSA is by design accessible to all levels of readers. Whether you are a casual follower of current events or a policy wonk, there is something here at PoliticusUSA for you.

“If by a “Liberal” they mean someone who looks ahead and not behind, someone who welcomes new ideas without rigid reactions, someone who cares about the welfare of the people-their health, their housing, their schools, their jobs, their civil rights, and their civil liberties-someone who believes we can break through the stalemate and suspicions that grip us in our policies abroad, if that is what they mean by a “Liberal,” then I’m proud to say I’m a Liberal.” ~J.F.K.

In other words, if you are to the left of Ayn Rand Tea Party Social Darwinism, if you think we have some responsibility for the poor, the elderly, the veterans, the disabled, and the vulnerable in society, welcome to PoliticusUSA.
