We want to hear your best #AdventureWeek story! Did you add a new Pokémon to your Pokédex or go on any exciting adventures?

Lorien: +deepak sharma They are actively testing a new method for approving portals in Ingress. If you don't know, Ingress portals are the origin for all Pokestops/gyms. If the system works in Ingress I imagine it will open the path to new Pokestops/gyms for PoGo.

Niantic doesn't move fast though, I'd be shocked if we saw something in less than 6 months and if the Ingress tool fails, we will continue to be out of luck.

Krimson Gray: Three Aerodactyls on the first day, one on the last. I evolved Omastar, Tyranitar and Porygon2. I got tons of Slugmas and Kabuto but not a single good Kabuto. 😂 No complaints, this event was amazing. I even got a last minute 8km walk with Grimer so I can finish my Gen 1 Pokedex.

Athos Melli: The disgust nn you can play more the gyms are busy by all the fake people who use tricks x teletrasporting from one side to the other every gym that gets going personally of course, is thrown down in less than 1 max 2 Minutes has become an unplayable niantic do something that the patience of us real players is at the end. It has become a scandalous game.

During #AdventureWeek, your Buddy Pokémon will earn Candy four times as fast! Which buddy are you walking with?

Antoine Saroufim: Charmeleon. We walked 150 kilometers together. I had him as a buddy ever since the buddy system was released. I barely ever see charmanders or hatch them so this is the only way for me to get my favorite Pokemon; Charizard. I'm at 37 candies now.

My bro who is a hardcore hacker recently complained that a pokestop trick he uses to unban himself is not working anymore for him
And that Pokemon are not having the same stats
I dunno for sure but I hope this will be the start of some serious anti-spoofing

Hayo Jongbloed: Started Adventure Week with a Togepi until I could evolve her into a Togetic. Then I buddied with my Pupitar which I evolved into a Tyranitar. And now I'm walking my Flaaffy until I finally get an Ampharos. :-)

What Pokémon GO adventures did you go on this week?

JLOVE Bannigan: +Joye Lim Nobody should really cheat at all... I just felt bad that the guy is going to those measures!! But cheating ruins it for all of us either way, even for the cheaters(bc they're taking the fun out of the game). I'm lvl 26 & even have all the decent Pokémon just by working my butt off. Well not all, but most. Like I don't have a Scizor or Steelix lololol but whatevs. I'm just proud of my game & don't feel guilty about it whatsoever!!! I'm sure the cheaters feel some type of guilt & not completely accomplished, unless they're delusional lololol

When you're so far from anything that nothing comes up on your nearby. Turn on an incense and start catching all the uncommon and rare Pokemon.
Easier than cheating
That's when the fun begins.
When you cheat you just suck the fun out of it. For yourself and everyone else.

In some ways I can identify with you. Where I live I only have 2 pokestops within range of where I live and the biome is pretty terrible. I even tried starting to play ingress because I heard about 7 months ago about the OPR hoping it would get some pokestops nearby but that won't work because everyone seems to have stopped playing around here.
However, I've stuck with it since the week of launch. I'm now level 28, I can take on pretty much any gym (exception of blissey walls), and I've got about 200 in my Dex.
All the result of patience, not cheating.

Have you encountered a wild Aerodactyl during #AdventureWeek? Aerodactyl will appear more frequently for just a bit longer!

Sven W (P2063): Yes it was in a gated industrial area I circled around for half an hour until it disappeared before I could catch it. This game really needs an official map so players can decide if it's worth trying to find an entrance or give up.

Arne Arnatveit: +JLOVE Bannigan I'm in the yellow team, and I've never seen any obvious yellow-team cheaters.

Once I found a remotely located gym, with 50.000 prestige points, but with only 3 Gastly with like 50 cp in it. Thus 7 open spots in the gym. The usernames of the owners were like username1, username2 and username3 - so obvious that it was a one-man team. It was no people in the area physically. And that was the red team ... 😆😆😲

In Team Valor and Mystic are tons of Hackers/Botters.
In Berlin, the Capital City of Germany, are tons of Hackers in Team Valor , Look here =
Every Gym with gastly is a botted Gym, because they use them everytime ! I was at this Gym and attacked it but i had no Chance against the Valor noobs..

Which Rock-type Pokémon are you looking to add to your Pokédex this weekend?

Andrew Smith: Well I had all the rock types except corsola before the event. Sadly I don't think international travel is in my plans.

Gailen Mapes: When will we get an UNOWN event? Hmmmm???

Chuck Croll: I've bagged a LOT of Rhyhorn and Shuckle - and I powered up a Rhydon a few times. I've seen nothing new, though.

I would like a Tyranitar - but I'm not holding my breath.

What can you do with Shuckle?

Reed Simpson: +SG Plays Games Anyone who downloads a "hack" fully deserves it turning out to be a virus.

Brian Washington: The game didn't ruin the whole franchise. Hackers are mildly annoying, but they only ruin it for those who allow their existence to over shadow all the positive things about the game.

Reed Simpson: +SG Plays Games You don't get to cheat at a game because of a disability. The entire premise of the game is based on moving around, which is entirely possible for most disabilities. If you don't want to do that then play a different game.

JLOVE Bannigan: +Darold Dickey Thank you. I actually have PoGo on my SD card & have do-not-auto-update on my Play store. I saw that Google Play services was eating up most of my memory but was scared to delete the data. So I called cust. service which was a b*tch to actually get a rep on the phone that could actually answer my question. So they confirmed that I'd be ok to delete the data & geez it freed up like 2g of space!! I've always been afraid to delete the PoGo app bc I'm always seeing people that have done it tend to have login problems. It's just painfully stressful lololol. Btw I just remembered I caught a Gligar in my dream, it was really weird & scary seeing it up-close & personal. Then actually catching it... Lololol

Arne Arnatveit: +Varun Vishwa That depends how we define "rare". Speaking of my own experience, I have 6 Dragonites. I have evolved 2 of them, and cought 4 wild (of which 2 have a CP of like 543). In addition, I had to leave a Dragonite, due to lack of balls. But, I have only found one wild Dragonair - and it ran away ... Is Dragonite more common that Dragonair, or what ...?

Also, I've not found Raichu, Sandslash, Weezing and Muk in the wild, but of course I've evolved them ...

JLOVE Bannigan: +Pokémon GO y'all are mean!! I had to spend 2 hours cleaning up my phone's storage just to download your "forced update". I'm not sure why it said, "Would you like to update now?", it's not like you gave me a choice! Thankfully, I was able to update. I just feel bad for the other players that may be having trouble with the update, obviously they're gonna end up missing a day or two of the event. Hence, why I asked you not to force-update til after the event.
Because I spent 2 hours freeing up space for the update, I ended up frying my brain! I was so exhausted & fell asleep & had a dream I was actually in the game, walking as my avatar & throwing pokéballs trying to catch Pokémon.
Now do you see what you put us through with your forced updates?!?

Congratulations, Team Mystic! You caught the most Grass-type Pokémon last weekend with over 116 million caught! You'll get them next time, Team Valor and Team Instinct.

Joel Horton: When are we going to see real differences between teams??
For example,
Mystic - slightly better catch rate
Valor - occasional above average increase to CP when powering up
Instinct - better chances of hatching an egg with a higher IV

Joye Lim: +Varun Vishwa Hmm... don't really see that happening often, but yeah I get your drift. Niantic's supposed to have stopped this Gym thing by now, though. Someone I know who spoofs says that he can't put his Pokemon into Gyms if he wants to avoid getting banned.

Joye Lim: +Varun Vishwa Not everyone who's level 40 spoofs... I have a friend who's level 40 only because she plays almost obsessively. And just to prove that she didn't spoof, she has everything except the regional Pokemon (gen 1) and once messaged me at a very unworldly time in the morning to say something about a Snorlax she caught
