New Plunet Version 7.0 – The Next Level of Translation Management

Plunet BusinessManager, the leading Business and Translation Management software, is now available in version 7.0. The new Plunet release is full of innovations: the item section is more user-friendly than ever before and language translation providers benefit from a tailor-made range of cutting-edge functions.

Plunet 7.0 offers users more flexibility in quality management, detailed productivity and business reporting and simplified, automated currency management.

Restructured item section - familiar and user-friendly

The central item section for quotes and orders is now more intuitive to use, with increased performance and more clarity than ever before. New items and any modifications made to items are automatically saved. In particular, major projects with many different items can be processed with ease.

Subtotals and price blocks are clearly separated from the preceding items, giving the user a clear overview of the project. Furthermore, individual buttons have been grouped together into logical drop-down lists, which guarantees quick and easy navigation. Many additional enhancements ensure greater clarity and modern usability, including:

+ Price memos are now highlighted in color and are immediately visible in the price line
+ Elements, lists and text fields are clearly defined and placeholders can be easily recognized
+ Users can now jump straight to the corresponding price list, update it and directly modify the prices

Automated bonus and deduction agreements with resources

As of Plunet 7.0, it is possible to display and automate bonus agreements with resources. Working with freelance translators can sometimes be a step into the unknown. You may not know the person well and cannot estimate the quality of the translation. Therefore, it may be useful to make bonus and deduction agreements. The resource receives a bonus for high-quality work and a deduction is taken from the price if the translation does not match the agreed standards. This can now be defined and automated with Plunet 7.0.

The amount is based on the overall rating, which is calculated from the individual feedback criteria in the Plunet QualityManager module. After the job rating has been calculated, the corresponding amount will be automatically added to or taken away from the invoice total. Bonus agreements can be implemented with Plunet in no time at all – completely automated and without any extra work for the project manager.

Everything at a glance – enhanced productivity and business reporting

For project managers, a complete overview of all translation projects is one of the most important parts of translation management. Plunet has recognized this and extended the business reporting functions in the system. You can now set as many filters as you like in a single query and combine them in any number of ways. As a result, you not only find the required projects more quickly, but can also create even more precise status reports.

Another important issue at management level is whether or not the Service Level Agreements with customers being complied with. With Plunet 7.0, this question about one of the most important KPIs won’t remain unanswered for long. Thanks to the new parameter “processing time”, you always have an eye on the exact reaction times from the project management to the customer.

Simple currency management with Plunet

Handling foreign currencies is part and parcel of the global translation business. Every currency has a minimum unit and needs to be rounded accordingly in quotes, orders and invoices. This can be done even more precisely in Plunet 7.0: job, line and total prices are now rounded at the item stage, which means no more unnecessary decimal places or potential discrepancies in the accounting.

Further new features in Plunet Version 7.0:

+ Certification according to the international standard ISO 17100:2015
+ A clearer overview for resources with a single e-mail for multiple job assignments
+ New, intuitive Plunet Online Help
+ Extension of the Across interface with Cross Grid functions for translators
+ External resources can upload their invoices directly in the resource portal
+ Grouped price units and items mean that subtotals can be calculated quickly and easily
+ More transparency and traceability is ensured by logging access rights
+ Files can be directly zipped and downloaded in FileManager
+ The status of multiple quotes can be changed at the same time
+ And much more…

New Version of the TMS Plunet BusinessManager 6.2 released

Plunet, a leading IT provider, introduces its latest version of their popular business and translation management software – Plunet BusinessManager 6.2. The new version focuses on user-friendliness and new process-relevant business management requirements, as well as the customer-oriented further development of the Plunet InterpretingManager module.

Improved GUI – Even more Intuitive
The new version – Plunet 6.2, features an even more intuitive and intelligent user interface than its predecessor to ensure faster navigation and improved clarity in its work space. The biggest improvement can be found in the header: the original second navigation level has been replaced by a number of drop-down menus. The user can now reach the required subsections directly, without having to first open and navigate parent menus. When scrolling, the header is now minimized to the main navigation, which directs the user’s focus to the issue at hand: his work space. Overall usability has also undergone further optimization in Plunet 6.2: New features include; direct user feedback with queue icons, user-friendly and efficient tag boxes, intuitive buttons, and intelligent context menus. Automatic scrolling to the correct section helps visualize jumps between individual sections of the software. This feature is a distinctive plus in terms of orientation within the software, and further enhances the user experience.

New Centralized Functions for Improved Usability
More functions have been added to the centrally located “Switch” button. The user can now access latest requests, quotes, orders, and jobs quickly and easily via the quick selection option. The new smart search function allows quick access to any data records and projects in the system – without the need for repeated refreshing.

The new “Plus” button offers additional speed and clarity: Project managers can now create new contacts, requests, quotes, orders, and invoices from any point within the system with a click of a button. The new functions not only create more transparency in terms of operation, but also allow for even more efficient and comfortable work conditions.

Professional Business Controlling with Plunet 6.2
Plunet is a leading business and translation management solution for professional business controlling. The new “Work in Progress” report has been added to further extend the already extensive business management functionalities. The new functionality allows a comprehensive progress overview of production processes in all ongoing translation projects. Individual turnover figures are displayed broken down by actual services and over the relevant time periods, allowing full transparency in terms of which services have been completed, and which are yet outstanding at any particular point in time. The report also allows a quick comparison of business performance by quarter. “Work in Progress” is therefore an excellent controlling instrument for any language service provider.

Plunet InterpretingManager: Address Templates for Improved User-Friendliness

The Plunet InterpretingManager module has also undergone some improvements based on the customer feedback. The new module version allows storing the data of any event location and contact person as an address template. In the event that address data or contact information changes over time, these changes can be applied quickly and easily with the click of a button, or a new address template can be created. The new function improves the overall user-friendliness for address administration and reduces redundant work steps. Efficient planning, control, and monitoring of interpreting projects of any kind are made easy with the Plunet InterpretingManager module. As a result, Plunet is the preferred workflow management software for a seamless support of both LSP business areas: translation and interpreting.

Other Improvements in Plunet BusinessManager 6.2:

Additional filters for complaint types
Additional recipients for automated email notifications regarding new documents
Customizing of the date format
Grouping of jobs by job type in the dashboard
Application of delivery notes to follow-up jobs
Automatic status change for all jobs in one item
Time zone selection for job email templates
Definition of assessment criteria for resources and jobs
Definition of order memos as pop-ups
Definition of mandatory fields in quote documents

Berlin/Bangalore – Mayflower Language Services, one of the leading language service providers in India, has chosen Plunet as its central business and translation management system.

The ISO-certified company was founded in 2003 in Bangalore and operates globally with over 1000 clients, and is one of India’s largest language service providers. Mayflower specializes in software and document localization, translation, eLearning translations, voiceovers, subtitling and staffing of language resources.

Plunet develops and distributes the world’s leading business and translation management software - Plunet BusinessManager. Translation agencies and language services in industrial enterprises, government and nongovernmental organizations who work with Plunet have visibly profited from the sustainable optimization of their business processes.

+Mayflower Language Services had previously been using server-based management software. This was no longer suitable for the growing tasks of a company operating on an international level. Sales management and the organization of teams in different locations was a particular challenge. Mayflower also required translation management software with a Customer Relationship Management module. After a detailed analysis of the solutions on the market, Mayflower chose Plunet BusinessManager. The web-based business and workflow management software fulfilled Mayflower’s requirements to the highest degree and has made the company’s daily work noticeably easier.

Mayflower is particularly impressed by the diverse Plunet functions and extensions: “We are very excited about working together with Plunet and using the outstanding reporting and CRM features. We are also impressed by opportunities that Plunet provides through its powerful interfaces to other industry solutions and complementary software tools. Plunet is the missing link that enables clients, translation service providers and translation teams all over the world to work together on the same platform, thereby ensuring a streamlined workflow.”

Along with the sophisticated functions and automation potential provided by the software, Mayflower also praised Plunet’s customer service: “Besides the power-packed features like custom report generation and the user-friendly Dashboard, Plunet’s excellent customer support really stands out. The support managers and implementation managers do a fantastic job!”
