Last night, the Penguins defeated the Hurricanes, 3-1. Despite a penalty-filled 1st period, Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin (along with Scott Wilson) were able to weather the storm and seal the victory. The Penguins will be back in action at Heinz Field this Saturday to take on the Philadelphia Flyers in the Stadium Series.

The Penguins were defeated today by the Red Wings, 5-2.

Prior to the game, Sidney Crosby was honored for reaching 1,000 career points with a plaque made from the Mellon Arena roof (presented by Mario Lemieux).

In the locker room, Crosby was presented with a gold-plated stick, a stick holder (also made from Mellon Arena roof), and the stick with which Sidney recorded point 1,000 (presented by Evgeni Malkin, Chris Kunitz, Kris Letang, and Marc-Andre Fleury).

Today at 3:00PM ET, the Red Wings wheel into Pittsburgh looking for a win. But Sidney Crosby and the rest of the Penguins want to bring the Wings' plans to a screeching halt. Make sure to tune-in!

After a tremendous victory last night which saw Sidney Crosby reach (and break) the 1,000 point milestone, the Penguins travel to Columbus to take on the Blue Jackets at 7:00PM ET.

INCREDIBLE! Sidney Crosby earned his 1000th NHL point in the 1st period on Chris Kunitz' goal. Also, Kris Letang played in his 600th career game. Marc-Andre Fleury made 44 saves to finally seal the win in a thrilling overtime victory.

PENGUINS WIN! Evgeni Malkin made his return to the lineup and had a 2-point night (1G-1A). The secondary assist on Malkin's goal was Trevor Daley's 200th career assist. 11 different Penguins players recorded a point in the victory, with Malkin being the only player to record multiple points (Malkin, Guentzel, Kessel, Cullen, Maatta, Daley, Crosby, Dumoulin, Wilson, Bonino, Letang).
