WOW! The Penguins put together an impressive 6-goal 2nd period (featuring an Evgeni Malkin hat trick) and beat the Capitals in a wild one, 8-7. The Pens and Caps scored the final 5 goals of the 2nd period in 3:32 minutes, the fastest 5 goals in Penguins history. The 9 goals scored by both teams in the 2nd period (PIT, 6; WAS, 3) established a Penguins team record for combined goals in a period.

Sidney Crosby has now tied Connor McDavid for the NHL lead in scoring, with 50 points.

The Penguins walked into the Bell Centre in Montreal, QC looking to limit the opposition more, and they walked out with a 4-1 win. Cameron Gaunce earned his first point as a member of the Penguins, while Jake Guentzel earned his first goal since being called back up by the team.

PENGUINS WIN! The Penguins topped the Lightning today, 6-2. With his goal tonight, Chris Kunitz tied Ron Francis for 10th place on the Penguins' all-time goal-scoring list with 164. Marc-Andre Fleury stopped 28 of 30 shots, while Andrei Vasilevskiy made 34 saves on 40 shots.

Additionally, the Penguins honored the 2009 Stanley Cup Championship team today. The introductions of those players and hockey personnel can be found in the video below.
