At the International Agri-Center today the 1st annual Ag Crime Prevention Seminar was held in Tulare CA. Attendees from Fresno, Tulare, Kings and Kern Counties listened to presentations by Tulare County Sheriff Michael Boudreaux, Tulare County Deputy District Attorney Darla Kaiser, Tulare District Attorney Investigator Josh Rowlett, Western Executive Protection's Director of Corporate Security David Jarrett and Pipkin Detective Agency's Rocky J. Pipkin. Also in attendance were Investigators from Fresno County's Rural Crimes/Ag Unit headed up by Detective Sargent Michael Chapman who was part of the Blue Ribbon Panel who answered questions from attendees following the Seminar.
Tulare County Sheriff Michael Boudreaux provided information on how his department is preparing for the future of Ag related crime investigation. Boudreaux explained to attendees that through the use of new technology and new methods of Ag Crime Investigation. Boudreaux concluded that it was imperative that to fight Ag crime his department will rely on the corroboration between the Ag Industry and his Department.
TCDA's Investigator Josh Rowlett provided information Identification Programs and how these methods assist in the prosecution of suspects and DDA Darla Kaiser discussed her Office's procedure of putting behind bars the parties responsible for crimes against Farmers, Ranchers and the Dairy Industry.
