Now that mobile payments are going to get some serious attention thanks to Apple Pay, I wonder how long it will take for +Google Wallet to extend their reach a bit worldwide, or if Apple will end up beating them to those markets...
Yeah, I've always been frustrated that dismounting a volume will create the illusion that you're ejecting it (the trash icon even changes to the eject icon if you drag it over, the finder button is an eject symbol) - but pressing the eject key, or the shortcut to send something to the trash (cmd+delete) will not do the same thing.
No folks, the shortcut you're looking for is cmd+e.
I've heard that high-altitude balloons have issues with gas leakage and material disintegration from the stress of expansion - hence the restricted lifetime.
Is there any more information about why certain materials were chosen? For instance - helium was mentioned as the gas used in the video, but why not methane (which has slower leakage) or hydrogen, which is cheaper? Also mentioned was the choice for using constant pressure vs variable for the increased lifespan - just how much of a difference can that make?
I'm not questioning the choices - but I would absolutely love some insight into the engineering that goes on!
