Not as good at Steve's that's for sure! Printed in just over 3 hours, 125% scale with volcano 1.0m nozzle, one perimeter no infill. Using e3d everyday white PLA at 195c. Not quite sure how to get the raft off... That might have been a mistake...

Should have added layer height into my post, it was .4mm layer height! The detail is Ok, but I am happy with it. Going to give it to the guys at work for one of their kids so quality is not the main issue :)

Just a reminder, if you apply nut lock to the pulleys on each end of your y.. . You should probably do the ones where the motor joins to it as well...

+Jos van der Plas I was very impressed it kept going as well! I was tempted to let it finish but it kept slipping, nut lock applied and it's back to printing well again :)

For those wondering how my dual printing is going... About 36mm to the right. Just found the setting in simplify3d that I hadn't checked as I was putting it all away! At least there is always tomorrow night

+Pierce Ferriter Ah yes, the offset setting in S3D. See, I set this, and I still had all sorts of hassle of the head hitting the docking area. I'll be interested to see whether after setting the offset and trying again, you can dual print without further issue.

It's the default in memory card. Everyday pla from e3d, .2 layer height. Bed 50c and hotend 210c. Only issue is some drift y I am still looking into

It's alive! Feel like I am on the last leg of this build now. Time to tune stepper drivers, fix cable and mount bed then time for haribo

Some volcano prints from this weekend, printed in 0.3/0.35mm layer height with the 1.0mm nozzle.. Still have issues with benchy where the top layers dont always stick to the sides properly but its looking much better. I prefer the volcano for vases at the moment due to the strength you get on the end part! Vases at 200% and 170%, benchy at 200% size :-D

Some weekend prints. Using e3d's everyday pla. The headphones are the models from print.plus (another kickstarter, not yet available for pre order)

Tonight's dual extrusion, have the printing doing what I want at last. Now to fine tune and adjust away the zits and alignment that is slightly off, must be 35mm and not 36mm difference! :-)

+Gregory Holloway cheers Greg I'll go through that tonight. My process was get a metal ruler and put it on the bed until the left nozzle just caught it if I passed it under neath (up on its side of course not flat) and then aligning nozzles, had the benefit of then having a ruler there to measure, your route seems much more precise than mine!

Are these filament holders rated for zero gee? Just turned my printer on side and realised I forgot about the two spools on back... They were fine and still spin happily!

+Sam Kolanowski As long as they have to assemble it up there. Lol, can you imagine... probably pre-glue those nuts in before it's sent up there.
