Dear Facebook Team,
I have been an active user of Facebook for several years. I am a singer and performer who works in Germany and tours throughout Europe. I use my stage name Phyllis Moon, which everyone knows me by. I am unable to login. I am also the booking agent for Sir Waldo Weathers, also a musician who traveled worldwide with James Brown for over 15 years. I assist Sir Waldo with his band bookings and am active in many booking agent groups. My stage name is registered here in Germany. Therefore I do not have any other US gov. ID to provide you with my stage name. If Facebook does not want to accept my stage name, then please at least allow me to transfer my personal profile to a Page OR ALLOW ME ACCESS so that I can at least inform my over 700 friends that I will be going under a different name. It is not fair to simply cut people off without offering them another option!!!!!!
To quote Olivia LaGarce:
Many (and, perhaps, most) performers use their Facebook accounts to network, get booked and book each other, produce events, and communicate with each other, because it is simpler, safer, and more effective than divulging our personal email addresses or phone numbers with others. By preventing us from accessing our accounts under our chosen names, this hinders our ability to make a living and develop our performance careers.
Please be so kind and assist me with this problem. I know that I am not the only musician and author who is having this problem. Facebook should at least offer options for people who are legitimately running businesses under their stage names, without simply deactivating their accounts! You may also find me here in google, google+, https://queenofdigitarts.blogspot.de
and on numerous other websites. I would appreciate your assistance!
