This contemporary home theater features custom cabinetry for the built in left, center, right and subwoofer channels. On wall speakers were utilized for the surround channels.

A motorized blackout shade with a custom white front finish provides complete light blocking from the window and a Stewart Filmscreen motorized screen built into a custom niche in the soffit was used for the Digital Projection video projection system.

All equipment was located in custom cabinetry and unified with a Control4 control system.

Motorization is a big plus when aesthetics are a concern. By designing and installing a custom flat panel lift mechanism in an owner provided cabinet, we were able to keep the room clean while making the television appear only when wanted.

Through the Control4 system, we were able to make the lift simply rise when the television is activated and retract when video for the room is shut down. No need for multiple remote controls or complex operation.

By selecting a quiet mechanism, late night viewing will not disturb the homeowners when they shut down the room for the evening.

We recently upgraded an existing client's project to the Control4 system. One of the major issues the client wanted was a true touchscreen in his Kitchen that would not only allow full control of his home, but also allow him to access the Internet and run windows based applications such as Outlook.

After researching available options, we decided to wall mount a Sony VAIO 24" touch screen PC running Windows 8. With a dedicated Ethernet connection, a remotely located UPS, specially designed mounting solution and custom configuration to ensure the Control4 app would always remain on top when the screen was activated by a single touch, we not only met the client's expectations, we far exceed the previous control systems performance and functionality.

This is just one of the ways Phoenix works outside of the box to provide solutions to our customers needs through research, engineering and custom fabrication. We never turn down a challenge or fail to solve problems.

Here are some photos of before and after in a clients home.

The first set shows a media room system which was dramatically improved not only through the hardware updates, but also in how it was presented in the room. The audio performance was unbelievably solid and the wall-mount flat panel provided a much better image than the antique rear projection the client was previously watching.

The second set is for a family room system where we actually modified the cabinetry to handle the new configuration, blending it into the rooms décor, cleaning up the presentation and performance.

Whole home HDMI matrix switchers maximize your entertainment selections while preventing the need to add individual subscriber boxes, media players and sources at each television location in the home.

This not only provides a very clean and attractive television installation in each viewing room, there is also an easy pathway for future source changes and additions without the need to duplicate at multiple points in the home.

When these versatile solutions are combined with Control4 home automation products, you have total control in each room from an intuitive handheld remote, iOS or Android smartphone or your favorite iOS, Windows or Android tablet.

Phoenix is an expert at designing and implementing these very flexible and robust solutions. We have hundreds of HDMI matrix systems in use by our customers today.

This home office features motorized shading as well as a television lift which pops ups the television when in use, but retracts it out of sight when not needed to preserve the view from the window.

Phoenix spent time with this client ensuring the technology was properly matched to the rooms décor and functional layout. Everything operates easily from a simple, but very intuitive handheld remote control.
