You can now Install from phone!

Little adjustment to my Android Wear 2.0 face collection. You can now install the watch face from your phone in one click.

I hope this will help with the incompatibility message from the Play Store and the confusion as to how to install a Android Wear 2.0 watch face.

Want to test it out? Just get my INTERNATIONAL watch face here:

Why should i make Android Wear 2.0 Watch Face if nobody knows how to install it??? Google Please fix it so content creators can keep... well... CREATING!
PSA: Installing Android Wear 2.0 faces

AW2 brought with it a lot of new features, but also a number of significant changes to how we interact with our devices. One of the biggest changes is how apps and faces are installed to a watch.

No longer do apps automatically sync from your phone to your watch; you have to go into the Play Store on your watch to manually install each and every app or face you want. Apps and faces which have a component installed on your phone will be conveniently listed under the "Apps on your phone" heading in the watch's Play Store, making them pretty simple to install all at once. You'll see a lot of legacy faces included in this list; faces updated for AW2 may still show up here since they would continue to offer a phone companion app for compatibility with AW1 devices.

New faces built specifically for AW2 do not require such a companion app, nor are they concerned with backwards compatibility for AW1.x. As a result, trying to install these faces on your phone will give you an incompatibility message. They're not compatible because a native Android Wear face literally will not run on the plain-jane Android OS on your phone. These faces must be installed directly to your watch. You can either do that by searching for the face in the Play Store on your wrist, or (my preferred route) by opening the Play Store listing in a web browser on your PC or phone, tapping Install, and selecting your watch as the target.

This change is, if I'm honest, kind of a pain in the ass. I get why Google has gone this route with AW2 (to facilitate both standalone functionality as well as improved cross-platform support for our fruity brethren), but that doesn't make it any easier to deal with. This will only become more of a problem as more and more new faces and apps are built specifically for AW2.

I think it would be great if +Google Play added a way to install apps to other devices through the Play Store app like you can through the web interface. If you think that would be useful too, be sure to let the Play Store team know by using the Help & feedback > Send feedback option in the app!
