EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Brian Maher is a personal trainer in Philadelphia and owner of Philly Personal Training. He has been a certified personal trainer since 2006 and he started Philly Personal Training in the spring of 2009 when he first moved to Philadelphia. He possesses a degree in exercise/sport science from Elon University and is a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength & Conditioning Association. The CSCS certification is the only personal training certification that requires a degree in an exercise related field.


CONVENIENCE


Brian wanted to utilize his knowledge of exercise and nutrition and offer an in home service that busy professionals so desperately needed. By bringing the workout to the customer, it saved time, eliminated excuses, and provided a more consistent workout routine to those who needed it. He still keeps a small personal training studio in Center City for those who wish to have access to more fitness equipment.


RESULTS


Brian sells results, not personal training sessions. Instead of selling you on a number of personal training sessions, he and his clients come up with timetables to achieve the results they want. His clients achieve desired results time and time again and proof of these amazing fitness results can be seen on his Testimonials page. In addition to his happy clients giving him rave reviews, he was named “Best Personal Trainer” by Philadelphia Magazine in 2013.

I have been an athlete my whole life, but everything started catching up to me as soon as college ended. I tried working out on my own, running, cleanses, diets, the like, but I couldn't keep a routine if I tried. I then found Brian, and everything changed! He created workouts and a meal plan tailored specifically for me, and when I'm away, he will e-mail me workouts to try on my own. I have been working out with him twice a week for 5 months now and I have lost the weight I wanted and have toned up and feel more energy than ever! He is so easy to talk to and extremely flexible with your schedule which is hard to find with trainers in the area. I can honestly say I'm finally looking forward to beach season this year thanks to Brian!

Brian is a great personal trainer. At first I was a bit apprehensive about going to a personal trainer, but after a few short weeks I saw dramatic results. Every week I show up to a new, challenging workout. Brian has also given me customized workout plans for days I train at home. His knowledge about fitness and nutrition is second to none. When I first started working out with Brian, we set up benchmarks and goals that would be checked every three months. In my first three months I greatly exceeded all of those goals. I highly recommend Brian to anyone looking to for a personal trainer.

I've been working out with Brian for a little over two months now and I couldn't be happier. I have much more energy, sleeping better and I'm thrilled with my results thus far. He works with my hectic work schedule and the meal plans have definitely been my saving grace. They've taken the guessing out of eating healthy and I goto bed every night knowing exactly what I'm eating the following day, no room for error. Five stars!

Brian is a wonderful personal trainer. While working with him and his workout plan, I lost several inches and gained significant strength. I had trouble staying motivated for long with many programs, but his personal attention and time made me stick with my regimen and kept me focused. I even ran my first 5K a couple months ago, something I never thought I'd do. If you're looking for a personal trainer in Philly, definitely give Brian a call.

I have worked out my entire life, and have tried every fad diet out there; however, I wasn't seeing the results I had hoped for, and decided to hire a personal trainer. I have been working with Brian for 16 months, and have accomplished goals I didn't even know I wanted to accomplish! I've always thought I had pretty good strength, but the results I am seeing with Brian are phenomenal: 80+ push-ups at one time, unassisted pull-ups and a leg press more than double my body weight! With the help of Brian, I ran The Broad Street Run in May 2013, and plan on shedding 30-60 seconds off my pace for the 2014 race. The sessions are challenging, but there is no better feeling than knowing how much muscle you are gaining, and seeing how different your clothes fit. The best part, I am eating MORE, losing weight and cutting down the number of days I spend in the gym! Not only does Brian provide new and challenging exercises, he takes the time to educate you in order to have successful workouts on your own. I have had a great experience with Brian, and would highly recommend him as a personal trainer.

I highly recommend Brian Maher as a personal trainer. He listens to your needs and wants, and creates workouts based on your personal goals. My body has changed drastically in the 1 year that I have been training with Brian. In the first 3 months of training, and only seeing Brian once per week, my body fat percentage decreased almost 5%! I have continued to drop pounds and inches, and am currently in the best shape of my life. Brian is incredibly knowledgeable and dedicated to his profession, and will help you reach your fitness and nutrition goals. Aside from working out with Brian once per week, he makes me workout plans based on my personal goals to follow on the days I do not see him. He has also made me running plans to reach various running goals. In a nutshell, if you are looking to transform your body with an extremely educated and dedicated trainer, you need to call Brian now!
