Great food. Great location, great atmosphere. The stuffed flounder is a little misleading though, it was more like a flounder topped with crab sauce rather than an actual stuffing. It was still great though. The prices are a little high, but occasionally you need to treat yourself.

We were there a year ago (2014) for Labor Day weekend...we had a blast. Phillips Seafood was definitely on point. We started out with fried Calamari, for lunch I had the Watermelon Soup with lump crab meat with guacamole and the house signature salad, my husband had a Caesar Salad and of course I don't remember what else he had. The service was good, the rest rooms were clean. Would I go again...YES! Do I recommend this restaurant...YES!

The location is awesome. Having the option of eating inside or outside is nice but the menus are different. For instance, you can't get steamed crabs inside but you can go to their outside area and get it. We went inside and my wife ordered the seafood creole and I had the fried seafood platter. The food for both plates didn't taste fresh. Food tasted like it was frozen and thawed out and cooked for us or it was leftover from the day before. All the clams were not open so I couldn't eat them. My husband's Sangria's are way better than there's.

Good food, high prices, awful service. Our waitress took our order. That's it. Bread and water were brought, but no plates. Someone else brought our food (two appetizers), but no plates. We asked for plates, but none appeared. We made do. No one refilled our waters. When the waitress finally came back, we mentioned the lack of plates. "Oh, sorry." Didn't ask about our empty water glasses. At these prices, I expect plates and water refills. The food was good, but expensive, which is to be expected at a tourist restaurant.

This is a great place to go if you want to do your seafood eating out on the harbor in a low pressure environment - there is even a separate area similar to a "beer garden" where you can order from a counter and get through faster, although it doesn't have the full menu. The patio of main restaurant where I ate was kid friendly. Crab cake sandwich with fries was reasonably good. Fries great. Fresh tomato plate was made with good tomatoes but quantity was a little small - would have been nice if rounded out with greens. My husband was glad he added chicken.

Good things: decent service and the atmosphere was fun as they had live music Bad things: the food is not good!!! We got calamari for an appetizer which was subpar considering this is a seafood restaurant. I tried the captain Ed mixed drink which tasted like banana flavoring and puréed mango. Not good. Also I didn't feel a thing and could not taste the alcohol in it. I had the crab cake sandwich at the suggestion of the waiter and it made me physically sick within a few hours. It was on a hamburger bun that looked like it came out of a grocery store off brand hamburger bun package. There was also so much shell in the cake. I literally had a piece of shell IN EVERY BITE. No joke. Cake had little to no flavor. Tartar sauce tasted bottled. The fries were chewy (seriously never experienced a rubbery fry before) and they were lukewarm at best. Husband got the shrimp poboy which also came out on what was a glorified footlong hotdog bun. Again it looked like a grocery store bun. His fries were ok. His meal was alright but not for the price. Nothing felt fresh and I'm reading now that other reviewers felt the same way. Overall, I don't know how they stay in business. This was not the quality of seafood I was expecting from a large restaurant right on the water. They probably get all their money from stupid tourists like us who see how packed it is and assume the food is good. Don't bother because it's not. We will never go back. Save your money and do not eat here.

This is about my one of a handful of reviews written. Shout out to Doug the bartender making me feel welcomed to Baltimore. Food was great and Doug was spot on with the drinks.

I love Phillips' location at the inner harbor. The food has been always been wonderful and incredibly tasty and the service- unmatched! I have never once had a snotty server who disappeared for ages or was unwilling to help. This is also a great location for group dining and company outings. I very much recommend and have always received great service.
