After pulling 2+ shelves worth of books off this bookcase to go in the donation pile.

How did I fit another 2 shelves worth of books on this nearly full bookcase, you ask?  Obviously you are not a book person.

People still buy Brian Herbert books?
Enter on Goodreads for a chance to win an ARC of THE LITTLE GREEN BOOK OF CHAIRMAN RAHMA, by Brian Herbert:

Huh. A whole let less white space over here today.

I don't think anyone has to read and judge Vox Day's story on the merits of the story itself without regard for the douchebag author. However the story is judged, it will go down as the worst novelette to make the final ballot to date.

I'd leave off "to date" except i'm sure that the douchebag will see this as a success and use the same method to get an even worse story on the ballot in the future.

As disappointed in the likely failure of yesterday's vote to fund Metro, the proposed changes that will happen without the funding actually improve some of my options.

For week day service, the frequency of my main bus route, the 70, will go from every 15 minutes to every 10 minutes during peak hours.  This is offset by losing the 25 and 66.  The 25 was lightly used, but the 66 was faster to get downtown and that hurts a bit.

In the evenings, Eastlake loses the 66, 71 and 72. However, the 73 will be increased to every 15 or 30 minutes and will run later.  This is about a wash.

On weekends, no 66, 71 or 72 anymore.  But the 73 will run every 10 to 12 minutes and we'll gain an every 20 minute 70.  This might be a slight improvement.
