Cool animation of asteroid DA14's near miss next year

BABlog reader Chris Laurel used the Cosmographia software to create a photorealistic animation of the pass of the asteroid 2012 DA14 next year, when it will whiz about 21,000 km above the surface of the Earth. The animation is neat, but it serves an important purpose: it's a visual reminder that this rock will miss us.
