Maya's first swim, well.....proper swim, she has jumped in a few stinky ponds but they don't count as she stank and I really wasn't very happy. Here though the water was clean and she had a blast, so nice to see her swimming.

Great advice Brett, I use a reverse osmosis system which also gets rid of Fluoride, the filters unfortunately can't. Maybe I should add the UV light as well, I'd have some pure water the eh!

Hi Brett, how's it going? Hey I just watched this video which firstly I think you'll agree is a real eye opener concerning the toxicity of our lives and secondly because at approx 18 mins in it mentions Austin, Texas and the use of sewage to grow food.

http://labs.naturalnews.com/Video-Forensic-Food-Lab-Announcement.html

It's frightening stuff Brett, it's not an "enjoyable" video but is a great insight into our modern world.

Blessings

Phil

How lovely to hear Eckhart speak of his daily experience, he emanates such warmth and sincerity. I've only just started reading The Power Of Now but I feel like I've always known, thank you Eckhart for you guidance.

At last Seaworld have tried to defend the Black Fish accusations, shame they can't see how keeping wild animals in glorified swimming pools is just pure wrong.
SeaWorld buys full-page ads in newspapers nationwide to call recent accounts of whale mistreatment inaccurate and call its employees "true animal advocates."

Let's see, take animals that normally congregate in large groups in our vast oceans, separate them from those groups, keep them in small groups or solitary confinement, in 'tanks' a fraction of the size of a fricking pond.  Now force them to be trained to 'perform' for crowds as a profit scheme, then deny any abuse or exploitation is happening. Yup, sounds legit to me.

Sea World can suck it. I won't even visit our local zoo. It's creepy and unnatural.

This plate would have looked so nice if I hadn't of gone so overboard with the cashew gravy. It's a mushroom burger but all mushroom, mushroom three ways, #lovemushrooms

I believe we have 3rd generation vegans here in the UK, I can't prove it but there are a few I'm told. There is also a tribe that are vegan and have been for over 1000 years, just google it, you'll find the source.

I've read many poor reviews of Pulse on the internet but finally took the plunge when our favorite veggie cafe was closed for the day. Pulse has a fantastic location tucked down an alley with a small court yard and Rainbow wholefoods next door (well, below really) Once seated the service was quick but felt disconnected from the veggie menu. The impression we got was the cafe was a vegetarian business model i.e. to make money but sod the ethics. We found out later the owner isn't even veggie, he owns many restaurants in the area serving meat and fish. My wife and I both opted for the veggie burger with sweet potato fries which arrived at our table in under 10 minutes. The fries tasted great but the burger was bland and soft with no "bite" at all. In fact it just oozed out the bun as you took each mouthful. As a 6 year vegan I know how to make a decent veggie burger and this wasn't one, sorry Pulse. Overall Pulse scored low on the food but the staff were quick and friendly and the decor was clean and comfortable. I won't be going back in a hurry though, it just didn't hit the spot.

For veggie's and vegan's this is the most ethical and reliable source of healthy wholesome food in the city. The menu is limited but then so is seasonal produce, this place talks the talk. I always go for the special, freshly made that morning and always a winner. Their salads are also well worth trying, many different flavors and textures again, changing with the seasons and offering slight variations as the weeks and months pass. I cant fault The Greenhouse really, its just the perfect retreat from the city center that offers clean toilets, great food, a small health food shop and a great vegan wine section.....well done!
