+NIA Ops What is going on here? In 2 days I've had 11 portal submission responses. 10 were rejections and they were all legitimate submissions, following the guidelines. Do you have one reviewer who just rejects everything he sees?

+Michael Interbartolo , Hollywood movies: none as far as I know (although this film was recently shot with a square frame: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt3612616/); TV: none.

Because the screens have always been horizontal... until now.

Now the vast majority of content is consumed on phones and tablets which seamlessly flip between horizontal and vertical at the flip of your wrist. If that is the consumption you are shooting for, you can use the best aspect ratio for the subject matter and know that the end-user can still see it full screen whichever aspect ratio you choose.

Don't misunderstand me: personally I believe that horizontal is best for most situations. But it should be a conscious choice based on the purpose of the shot and the subject matter.

Photosphere shot in the park. I'll do some editing to clean it up later.

Author makes the mistake of proclaiming Google+ 'dead'; gets hammered by legions of passionate Google+ users!

(Join the fun and comment here: http://goo.gl/gKhLOc )

Steve Denning make the mistake of publicly proclaiming Google+ dead in an article on Forbes. As with all such proclaimers, he's a non-user. (No frequent user of Google+ could ever make such a claim.)

If you'd like to join the fun, and tell him if you think Google+ is alive or dead, go here and click on the black "Comment On This Story" bar:
