A HUUGE weekend in Siem Reap showcasing the best of Cambodian talent.
We couldn't be more excited.
Everything is kicking off tonight with the ChubMet Music & Art Festival - Festival Opening Carnival where we will be flipping and juggling for joy. We will also be entertaining you with two intriguing live art performances. We can't wait to meet ក្មេងខ្មែរ - KmengKhmer :D
Then tomorrow night is the ChubMet Music & Art Festival - Giant Puppet Parade Music Stage. Every year, Phare Ponleu Selpak artists assist local children and NGO's to create the puppets for the Giant Puppet Project, Siem Reap. It is always a magical thing to see.
THEN, the after party where PHARE GIRL BAND will be performing for their first time in Siem Reap.
It's also the weekend of the First They Killed My Father - Cambodia Premiere.
I'm sure you can see why we are overexcited. Read our run-down of the weekend on our blog:

'2030 Not a Fairytale' is a beautiful picture book written and illustrated by Arlene Gormley. The book introduces young children to the seventeen Global Goals for Sustainable Development.
In September 2015 world leaders gathered at the United Nations in New York to adopt the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. The Global Goals are universal and a call for action to ensure economic development, social progress and environment sustainability worldwide.
Each global goal such as gender equality, learning for all and sustaining our environment has it's own super simple explanation and delightful illustration.
Teaching children about these issues from as early as possible is one of the ways that we will achieve these global goals by 2030.
'2030 Not A Fairytale' is now on sale at the Phare Boutique and has been given out to many primary schools and preschoolers in Siem Reap.
This book is a fantastic way to educate young ones on the important issues that they will soon be responsible for.
‘2030 Not A Fairytale’ supports the non-profit organisation Feeding Dreams Cambodia and profits from the sale of the book will be donated as a contribution to operating costs.
Feeding Dreams is a grass roots community school, co-founded by Arlene which provides free education, school meals and community support to over 800 poor children and families living in poverty on the outskirts of Siem Reap.
