Vik, Iceland
Roughly 3am, we'd been driving through rain and foggy conditions and we cross over into Vik to find a break in the clouds above the church. Just as we roll in we realized we've popped a tire on the Land Cruiser but that's the last thing on our minds. Light stuck around for about an hour and it was a welcome end before wrenching off a tire in the parking lot then crashing out for a well deserved rest.

More about our Iceland Adventure Tours here (2016 TBA shortly):

Bruarfoss I
Iceland 2015

I figure its fitting to start with an image from the beginning of my 22 day adventure in Iceland and Norway. Just after getting in to camp in Grindavik and napping, we headed off to one of my personal favorites in the country - the color tones of this set of falls as well as its mix of cascades is always a fun one to make a return stop.

We're working on launching the dates for 2016's summer tour of Iceland, if you're interested drop me a message for updates and more!

Chasing the Midnight Sun
Skagsanden Beach, Flakstoya, Norway

18 days.  18 days since I last saw the night sky.  Its been a whirlwind trip helping lead an adventure tour across Iceland and now finishing up a stint in Norway chasing the midnight sun.  Its all been a bit surreal due to the days seeming endless and the time I've been away from home.

Rain and a little bit of exhaustion has us winding down in a hotel, so what better time to backup and preview some of the gems from the trip.  Here's a sneak peek of something I'll be working on once I'm home (aka gang this is NOT the final image) that will be going into some fresh writing material for you as well.

Two. Two more sleeps til home.

Down the Chute
Great Smoky Mountains National Park

Looking forward to heading out to the Smokies this July with the guys of +Mountains To Sea Workshops for my first workshop collaboration them! I still love getting back to my 'backyard' and wandering the trails and streams of the Appalachians, so I can't wait to revisit this area and share some great locations and photography knowledge with our group.

We've got a few spots remaining for this weekend photographing and exploring one of America's most beautiful national parks.

If you'd like to join us, check out the link below:

Brace yourselves, spring is coming

I usually am the cold weather junkie but for once I'm really eager for spring to arrive and the lushness of the landscape to return once again.  Here's one from the archives from the Palouse, I love the land boundary in this one breaking up the rolling hills.

I've go a new website up and running thanks to the folks over at +Squarespace where I'll be not only housing my portfolio but I have a blog that will be seeing frequent contribution as well as workshop announcements and fine art print sales.
